Re: PortAventura 2012: "Shambhala" B&M Mega Coaster

Yeah the new skyline picture on the previous page has turned my Nightmares :/ Dragon Khan is just ruined now! IT look magnificent before, now its just belittled and looks tame :/ How could they!!!! Looks a good ride but it just looks wrong!  :sadblink:

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Yeah I've got to say that SAW was quite rough when I rode it, for some reason though I just don't enjoy Eurofighters that much :/ They seem to be too weak in style. I prefer a ride with longer trains, so it would be interesting to see what happens if we get a new style Gerst with long trains! Would ...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I'm looking really forward to this now, this theme doesn't bother me at all, I think it's good! The station looks good and the spider looks amazing! It will definitely look good during Scarefest at night as someone said above, the mention of lasers and projects in the area would be Awesome! I feel t...

Re: So... about SW8

I wonder what we would have had then If this wasn't the first concept. As mentioned somewhere else, B&M and Gerstlauer were seen wondering around the site last year so a competition may have been in place between those two. What would be nice is if they were to show the plans for both rides to s...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I know this ride will be good if they can get all the points that we don't know of yet right. The type of cars will play a big part in whether this ride will be good or not. One bug I have about it though is the double lifthill because for some reason I just don't like them. It seems lazy in my opin...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6m7bWmgd4E - Link to another SW7 recreation, think it's Nemesis97's :) It looks good :) I'm thinking that this ride looks immense, but what bothers me is that it looks like it's just been tangled up into a site that has a smaller space than is needed. That batwing/co...

Re: oblivion extension

To be honest, I prefer the fact that it is random, don't know how long you are actually going to be held. Gives another surprise to the drop :P

See if Alton were to do this all the time, even during the day, would give the area something else. More special really.

Rita Replacement Idea

Rita's going nowhere, hate when people start these kind of topics when most of the rides involved are only new or quite recently opened (2-6 years, that's recent in ride terms). It's the same with the oblivion extension topic. There's no way oblivion would be extended, especially 13 years after it w...

Black Hole's Replacement

I'm hoping they do something with the tent soon. It's becoming rather boring now with the fact that it just sits there and does nothing is no use. Sure it looks good but my little cousin who is 7 asked me what it was, and I said "nothing it just sits there empty" and he said " well th...

Re: Katanga Canyon 2011

I've got a feeling that this may have something to do with SW7, just seems like it :). The flume could be going in replacement of the flume if that's possible. But could they be that far ahead in the design process?

Re: 2011 Onwards: Alton Towers' Future

The things I hope Alton do soon are : - Do something with the blackhole tent, anything would do, coaster, flat, cinema, etc - Bring a new kiddie coaster in to replace the beastie, as it is to old for the towers and kind of ruins there rep a tad - hopefully they will sort out airs tunnel as said a co...

Re: Th13teen or Saw: The Ride?

I can't really compare these rides IMO. They are completely different types of rides, targeted at different types of audience so therefore I can't really choose. But If I had to choose then I would have to choose Saw because my first post in this thread was kind of biased towards At as I hadn't been...

Re: Th13teen or Saw: The Ride?

Saw was too rough in my opinion. Banged my head about a little. But wasn't too bad. :D

Th13teen on the other hand...smooth as a baby's bottom! :P No jolting and banging about whatsoever on my first and only ride

Re: Alton Towers Or Thorpe Park?

Thorpe Park is a great park with some great rides but it just doesn't have that same magic that Alton Towers has. Exactly what I told my mates when we went to Thorpe Park this week. They kept asking me are you sure Alton Towers is better, and I kept saying exactly what you just said. They liked Tho...

Re: Thorpe Park: Future Discussion

I like how on the plans they have tried to shade out the new coasters plans and track. Surely these plans aren't what are actually going to be built because they look really similar and it would be far to early for the plans to be made already, wouldn't it? :?: These two new coasters will be good ju...

Re: Rate Th13teen

I just wish people wouldn't rate the ride based on the marketing that was done on it. What I want people to do is think of the ride without the marketing, Ultimate Coaster, etc. I looked past that and find the ride to be quite fun so I therefore gave it a 4 although I would class it just below 4 sta...

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

I just can't believe the real size of the drop mechanism. It is massive! Can't wait to ride when i go in August. What size will the drop mechanism be if an even bigger drop were to be made in America etc. meaning if the drop were to be 20ft or something. :P The size of our mechanism is huge ...
