Re: Alton kick out dippy Dappy

I do however disagree with smoking being banned in the hotel rooms, i don't do it but can see how a smoke would top off your day at the park just like having a beautifull cold pint in a freshly bought AT-pint glass :) Smoke can permeate walls and furnishings, though. Makes sense to ban it - keeps t...

Re: Original abandoned Oblivion plans

Is oblivion's turn around not a slightly bit higher than the brake run though? The brake run on G5 looks as high as the turn around :?

Re: Dark Forest & RITA - General Discussion

Is it it just me or dose anyone else thing the Skyride gondolas going across Dark Forest look really garish in all their primary colours glory. I had a random idea the other day that the multicoloured metal (looks like plastic though) on the skyride could be fitted with technology so that it change...

Re: Any future for the Wooden Coaster?

Any future for the wooden coaster? I hate to say it but it IS the truth... No. Height, noise and locals loving the park stops us from having one. I know many people would try and find ways around these three problems and people would hate me saying it but un less a silent woodie and a slient chain ...

Re: Could this happen?

Before the ride even opens they have to put a dummy for measurements to see if it is possible for the riders to hit the legs or hands off objects while they are on the ride. Just like to say from experience... they're not dummies, it's the staff that are sent round in the morning! But as you ...

Re: Could this happen?

What a load of crap! There is definitely no way that this would have happened as there is clearly loads of space between the sides of the track to the rocky edges of Nemesis's pit. Before the ride even opens they have to put a dummy for measurements to see if it is possible for the riders to ...

It must be really freaky when you are on the skyride hanging over the massive drop into the valley and then all of a sudden the ride just stops haha Anybody been on the skyride when this has happened?

I would be seriously pooing my pants

I din't know that they actually did this :? I think that this is a brilliant idea, putting screens around the park will allow people to get a quick catch up of the scores. It would be cool if AT were to do a big World Cup event with a big screen where you could gather to watch the matc...

Re: Film Section?

Not that I am saying oblivion and x-sector needs a re-theme but, oblivion could fit the James Bond theme perfectly. With John Wardley's description of what Oblivion is meant to be, eg. Some sort of mysterious machine behind a barbed wire fence is very like something you would find in a James Bond fi...

Re: What's The Best Flat Ride For Alton In The Future?

Yeah the flats at AT are pretty dull IMO. Sometimes they may be good and other times the are boring. Depends on how busy the park is. I feel that AT just need to provide something that hasn't been done before, ie a worlds first! or Europe's first!. This will bring in the guests and will also provide...

Re: What's The Best Flat Ride For Alton In The Future?

The thing is that the spinning drop tower just looks really plain and boring to me and Ripsaw still gives out a good and very fun experience. I don't think they should replace Ripsaw at all maybe give it a spruce up and add the themeing again and you will have a completely new ride. I love Ripsaw es...

Re: Any future for the Wooden Coaster?

If it were to be the next SW, I might have mentioned this earlier, but it would be cool if it will be the world's first floorless woodie . That would be well cool if it were ever to be tried, especially if it were to come to AT. I just hope that if the next SW were to be a woodie, it would hav...

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

Is priority fast trackers then?

Because usually fast trackers, from my experiences go to the front

Therefore AT are saying that the best seats are on the back of Th13teen, which I would agree with due to those pesky trims on the lift.

This is rather unusual IMO.
