Re: 2012: Nemesis Sub-Terra... Part 2

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02138/lift_2138259b.jpg An artist’s 3D illusion gave the impression the floor of the lift had collapsed, leaving a gaping hole. The stunt was created in an effort to test people’s likely reaction to a new ride at Alton Towers theme park. Nemesis Sub-Terra...

Re: 2012: Nemesis Sub-Terra... Part 2

Its unlikely because Sub-terra/Nemesis needs a shop and it would mess up the area if their was just a small stand so its probably not true It's very likely to be true, the person who said that we aren't getting the planned shop knows what he's talking about. Ties into rumours that have been going a...

EGF, Blue Fire, Katun and Troy all look like much better coasters than Raptor, I only put it 5th.

Re: Universal Orlando: Wizarding World Expansion

There won't ever be anything potter related for Halloween, Rowling would never allow it. The train is a good way for Universal to up-sell 2 park tickets, as people would pay the extra money just so they could go on another potter ride ;) Screamscape say the trains are only 3 carriages long, which is...

Re: New Chicken outlet

Are there any Vegetarian options here, I know it sounds stupid to ask for a fried Chicken restaurant but I like to try all outlets if I can? I don't think there is a veggie option at the moment, but the menu may expand before the park opens in March. Was there a place to leave feedback? Someone fro...

Re: Submission & Enterprise: Closed (SBNO) for 2012

The area is blocked due to this ice, not for any other reason. It's just a temporary fence and a "look at me" sign.

I'm not sure about the green, but it looks from the plans that there will be some detail added to the building.

Re: 2011 / 2012 Closed Season - Resort Updates and Improvements

I love the new Towers Trading, it looks great. In regards to Air only running one train for most of the afternoon, this would have been due to safety reasons (and maybe even B&M guidelines) The 2nd train would have been causing the system to e-stop as it wasn't going around the track quick enough.

Re: Scarefest 2012

The first weekend is a 'preview weekend' according to some new posters on Towers Street :)

Will solve lots of issues that happened last year and save money as there will be less weekdays were the park is dead.

Re: 2011 / 2012 Closed Season - Resort Updates and Improvements

The techies would have had to sign off those rides and then they would need to make sure that there were staff available to run the rides. They would have only had a few days to sort that out, so wouldn't really be possible. Charlie opened last year (or maybe the year before) because Twirling Toadst...

Re: 2011 / 2012 Closed Season - Resort Updates and Improvements

The menu will probably be looked at before the proper season. This was their first day so its worth just treating Feb half term as a test for it :) I thought the food and prices was fine. My only issue is that it was served in plastic bags, but that is just a temporary problem. Think I'll be eating ...

Re: 2011 / 2012 Closed Season - Resort Updates and Improvements

I'd expect everything except Runaway Mine Train to open tomorrow. I felt Alton Towers dealt with things really well today so well done to all of them (especially well done to all the staff who spent all day outside informing guests of ride closures) TowersTimes will have a photo update tomorrow with...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

My random opinion is that it is some sort of prison/containment centre and we are trying to escape it and the spider thing is some sort of security trying to stop us escaping. Could the van be some sort of TV van and we are some sort of reporters trying to find out what is really happening in X-Sec...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Candy Holland has been the creative lead of Merlin projects for years now. Wardley was involved with SW6 but wasn't mentioned on the plans then as Candy Holland is the creative director of the studios :)
