Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Just out of interest does anybody know what height restriction we can expect? Dollywood's new Wing Rider will carry a 50" height requirement, which is 127cm. This seems fairly low.

Re: 2012: Nemesis - What Lies Beneath... Part 2

You will leave 'The Stag' and walk through a queue area themed as catacombs. From here you take your seats on one of four drop towers. In th...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

You can choose to renew to a Standard or Premium Merlin Annual Pass, regardless your current pass. So a premium renewal would be £129.60.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I completely agree with Damos and I was so happy to be able to buy a gift voucher today no problems. I just phoned in advance to check if the attraction had any and then I went and picked them up.  :)

Can you buy gift vouchers in the 50% off offer? And where do you go at SEALIFE Birmingham to buy your pass?

Re: AT Waterpark Improvements

If the outdoor is to be the focus for expansion surely then the outdoor section can have full opening times too. I shant hold my breath though, since the waterpark was built there hasnt been much interest in it from ye olde powers above. If only there was a way to upsell more in there! A Flowrider ...

Re: AT Waterpark Improvements

Well haven't they tried before to get plans through but they've all been given the red light by Merlin? Good news though, at least they are trying and I hope these can get through internally. I don't see a problem from the external planning comittee.

Re: Mythos Waterpark - Egypt!

All I can say is wow! The way your most recent slides interact with the surroundings reminds me of the Storm Slides at Typhoon Lagoon - and that's great!  :)

Re: February Half Term 2012

Earlier this year the half term prices for the hotels were much more comparable to off season rates, but since September they seem to have been creeping up.

Re: 2012: Nemesis - What Lies Beneath... Part 2

I am struggling to understand why people think that a few cones and some hazard tape in the car park is very exciting. The park is closed so if AT didn't want something seen then they could quite easily find a few hundred acres of space to hide it in. I think we only see it as interesting because w...

Re: Disneyland Paris Major Losses!

I think in simple terms it's because they didn't want to commit to the money. Tokyo Disneyland and now Shanghai have also been built this way. I believe the only fully owned Disney properties are those in America and Hawaii.

Re: 2012 Enthusiast Wishlist

Alton towers could install a pitch and putt in the grass car park because that would appeal to a lot of people. Somehow convert the road that directs everyone to the main car park first goes past the hotels, to promote and enhance the start of your day experience! Unfortunately the field is used as...

They only have any grounds to take them to court because they have lived in Farley since before the park was a theme park, with rides like Corkscrew and then later Nemesis, Oblivion etc.
