Re: Launched Dueling Vekoma Invert/Sit-Down with B&M track

I think the idea is the sitdown side is a family orientated side, hence the reason it looks a bit crap.

Re: Cedar Point 2010

It looks Aquatrax-esque though, I mean the track. Ah well how many water rides does CP have?

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

Yeah but if it had say 3 trains that'd be 5 seconds 3 times every say 1 and 1/2 minutes. All the way through the day it'd add up. Somebody somewhere did the calculations. Apparently power consumption per launch is slightly more efficient using LIM/LSM than using hydraulics. The reason for Hydraulic...

Re: SW6 Construction

If this is for SW6, then it's a major disappointment. It means the "station" will be crinkly tin covered with wood painted to look like stone. How cheap and nasty is that? At the very least I was expecting covered breeze blocks like Battle Galleons which do actually look like bricks and r...

Re: Ug Land / Rita 2010

I heard a rumour that it reaches the speed in 1.5 seconds and then maintains a steady speed down the rest of the launch track #-o

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

I'd actually love the lift to have a LSM system on it. I've done Maverick, that lift is very exciting. Great fun :) And they only use vast amounts of power when in use. What a few seconds? The Intamin hydraulic launch uses vast amounts of power constantly. Its quite efficient really. Aslong as ther...

Hydraulics might just be used for the transfer track though?

I'd go for Stockholm Syndrome or Crazy Train. It'd funny to hear Ozzy going ALLL ABBOOARRDDD when you leave the station

The main street looks a bit bland. Need some colour somewhere. Nice building work though.

I thought it was better themed than Duel, at least there's always targets there. I do like Duel for it's length.

Drayton Manor TR 20/8/09

I took my first ever visit to DMP yesterday as our annual AT trip didn't happen this year (not really that good of a replacement though :( ) We arrived at about half 11 and bought our ticket. When my mum asked for a map we were informed that everywhere had ran out. Great I thought, DMP really is as ...

Re: Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

It's been getting quite mixed reviews apparently. Some people are saying there's airtime on every entrance and exit to a brakerun, some say there's a strange stomach dropping sensation on the drop, some say the non-inverting loop is really intense and others, are just like oh right this is it? I gue...

Re: Chessington 2010: Beanoland Re-Theme and New Ride!

So the disko is going to be like Paultons rather than Flamingo Land? It looks really awesome and hopefully sets the standard of what SW6 theming standard will be.

Re: Efteling 2010: Dueling Woodie

I think people are excited for this one because GCI tend to be much smoother (I think) than the average woodie. All about speed and airtime rather than feeling out of control (again I think), but from what I understand Intamin Plug in and Play woodies are the best woodies out there.
