Re: 2012 fireworks

I have been to most of the displays over the years but just feel this one was not one of the best. Even the crowd at the end still stood there as if is that it ?? No buzz like last years or the year before. Wish they would go back to some kind of story, its more magical. And yes there were not many ...

Re: 2012 fireworks

I was a bit disappointed with them. Lasers were good, if you have not seen towers firework display before I imagine it would be wow. Just felt the music was terrible mix., one long boring mix. Actually did not think there many large shells too. Alton really needs to go back to being more creative. A...

Re: Scarefest 2012: General Discussion (Spoiler Warning)

Really good review Jammydodger a interesting read. Thanks. It amazes me how they can focus on one aspect mainly being the new maze The Sanctuary and take it away from others. The issue with the park lighting annoys me so much. When you even read general guests not just enthusiasts mentioning it you k...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

The answer is probably on here somewhere but save me going through all the pages does any one know what the offers were on the Premium pass sale back in January. I recall it being was it 50% off or £100 or something tho not sure ?? My Premium pass is now due for renewal but I am in two minds as whet...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

Awesome, looks great. Stuff like this gets me excited.
Well done Thorpe Park, really shows they have a bit of passion for the park and its theming. Just get the fire effect sorted and I will be buzzing  ;)

Re: Future Developments

I have followed TowersTimes from the start and will continue too. Every site has its ups and downs from time to time like Alton Towers this year  ;) I look forward to future developments, though hope you don't change it too much as it works as it is now. Fully support the new team, it may have ...

Re: News: Reduced Attraction Operating Hours

And they seriously wonder why visitors numbers are down I posted a comment about this on their facebook page about this too. Ok it may only be an hour later but whats next ? This year they sure are going a great job at driving visitors away, its just amazing they cannot see that. Not everyone lives...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm and General Discussion

Yes I would like to know this too. Seems to have all gone quiet about the fire effect on The Swarm. I still feel its in the wrong place above the fire engine and would look better near the plane engines. Remember those fire things Thorpe had on the entrance during Fright Nights a few of them dotted ...

Re: Diamond Jubilee Discussion - are you celebrating?

Loved Kylie she really came across well and was my favourite performance. When she came on it just lifted the whole show. Also loved the aerial shots of Buck Palace with fireworks and beacon etc.

Re: Scarefest 2012

Just seen Madness on the queens Jubilee concert and them projectors on Buckingham palace and thought it would be a good idea to have them used on the towers for scarefest and maybe the fire works event. Exactly what I thought when I saw it too. As mentioned The Towers Hex side would be an ideal loc...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm and General Discussion

I think that video of the fire was when it was testing. I visited 3 days in a row recently and there was no fire. The bang is there for the fire in the track tho you can hear when it will explode.

Yes the Leds do look good, they will look cool at fright night's.

The Swarms LEDS will look cool in the dark, they are even on the side.

All we need now is some fire

Re: Scarefest 2012

Yes and that was the problem doing it in house. There was no real effort made, lights were just places here and there with no thought. In 2010 it was so much more creative. Actually the fireworks in 2011 the lighting was good around the The Towers with many more leds around than the Scarefest. I rea...

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

Legoland closes on selected days still. Think I would prefer this too. Wild Asia is one of the best areas in the park, its amazing they selected this for cutbacks. Perhaps its the easiest place to seal off. Are they paying a member of staff to stand there and tell guests it closed ? I understand eve...
