Re: Bose audio wrong info & future projects with alton?

Concerning the Bose speakers, the park is full of Bose's Freespace Model 32se (the square boxy ones). The speaker's attached to the queue line tv's in the Sub-Terra queue are the newer FreeSpace® DS 16S / 16SE The speakers within the attractions itself though (as far as I am aware) are all EV speake...

Re: Malibu Park Resort

Hello everyone. In this update I will be showing some recent progress from within the park, but first I leave you to read this article. http://i.imgur.com/vUAsf.png You may be shocked at this and wonder why I have removed Spaceport, the resin being it is soon to be replaced by an 'Atlantis' themed a...

Re: monorail

One thing that always nags me with the monorail stations, are those truly awful CRT Displays, majority of them are broke anyways and I'm sure Alton can afford a few flat screens, even if they only replaced the ones on the 'ramps', and maybe even turn the volume back up, it seems to be incredibly qui...

Re: Park Music and Videos

I had a little smirk on my face the other day, when leaving the park after it had closed, the monorail driver stated that he would be our driver for the day and was now taking us back to the car park, he then added 'could you please listen to the nice lady trying to sell you lots of things'. Everyon...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Thing is, looking at that and other images, the ride building does not match X-Sector in the slightest and sticks out way too much, the derelict, abandoned theme should be kept to Forbidden Valley (bar Air), and the Dark Forest. X-Sector was always the edgy, modern facility and the station completel...

Re: Park Music and Videos

After listening to it a couple of times during my visits to Towers in the past weeks, I've noticed it kills any atmosphere in the gondolas and people struggle to fit a conversation in over the top of the rabble of the two people, who speak without taking any breaths. And the rather awesome new music...

Re: Malibu Park Resort

Hi everyone, I haven't updated in a while due to other more important things, but I'm now back to working on my park and I can confirm many things, A new ride in the Port Aquatic area of my park has opened called 'The Splash' with an aquatic theme. A new outlet has opened around the park, named 'Myr...

Re: Alton Towers Fonts

I have that 'Air' font, but that font was only used for promotional material and is not the official one, I have searched a lot to find the 'New Symbol Font' but I haven't been able to find it, The Air logo used the New Symbol Font if its any help,
Thanks

Does anyone still have the 'new symbol font' which is Air's font, I lost it when I changed computers and the link for it is now dead. Thanks to anyone who replies.

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (May Contain Spoilers)

Just thought I'd mention that as well as using the new Bose FreeSpace Ds', which are attached to the queue line videos, the batching area of the ride is using EV speakers, did Bose not do their normal consultation on speaker selection and placement for this ride?

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (May Contain Spoilers)

In my eyes, an easy way to enhance the theme would be to incorporate a proper storyline into the ride, not just the videos playing in the queue line. Using Hex as an example, the ride compared to other models of its type around the world is better because of the story it plays before you board the r...

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (May Contain Spoilers)

I agree with the above points, a 'introduction' video in the batching area would work great and would probably help to give more time for the ride as their would be a longer wait time. The 'security scanners' that you walk through when going into the ride should kind of be removed as they have no re...

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (May Contain Spoilers)

I felt that this would be the ride where Alton made it mark again on the UK, the actors were pretty amazing and so was the build up to the actual ride, then it all went so very wrong.. The 'Core' as it is named on the videos has some rather good theming with the giant Tv's and the egg. But the ride ...

Re: Towers Street Refresh?

Towers St. would look great with this 'updated' theme. The current Towers St. is starting to look worn, the washed out paint jobs do no favours to the buildings and the small displays in the right hand buildings are out of date (old AT Hotel logo anyone?) and tacky. The trees that line the street ha...

Re: 2012 Map & Marketing

In my eyes, this years marketing has been the best its been for a long time (with exception of the map maybe) The way everything looks is consistent and now they have started putting that 'alton towers wallpaper' up everywhere it involves you a lot more. I also hope the 2 vehicles on the Ice Age and...

Re: SPOILERS - 2012: Nemesis Sub-Terra...

I have to say that the exit path does look rather bland, also the shiny metal fence sort of looks out of place. On the plus side the large expanse of space is great for the actors to roam, perhaps 'scanning' the public as they exit the ride.

Re: The Future Of Cloud Cuckoo Land

I always thought Cloud Cuckoo Land's 'retheme' was merely a slight refresh for something big in the future as at the moment it still looks like a 'street' and just because clouds are painted onto buildings down mean they don't still look like buildings. The buildings have no reason to fit into Cloud...

Re: Malibu Park Resort

Hey everyone, In this update I will be showing the newly constructed 'Jukebox Rally' which has lost its turquoise colour scheme in favour of a red and black colour scheme. Also since the last update the foliage around the park has grown immensely and Malibu Park Resort has created the 'Coffee Bar' b...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Sorry to bring the station back into the topic but does anyone else agree with me that although SW7 is nicely themed, the theme chosen just dosn't suit X-Sector, and it may seem if they add this aged effect to the rest of x-sector that Forbidden Vally and X-Sector will become very alike theming wise...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I totally agree with BigAl there, my 'mock-up' was simply to show what the starion would look like if it carried Oblivions current theme. The actual design and theme for SW7 is pretty good, but i feel that X-Sector is just the completely wrong place for it. As although Air and Nemesis are a theme 'c...
