Re: Progressive musical discussion topic

In their usual manner, Radiohead have announced some new material being released at short notice. Next Monday the two new songs "The Daily Mail" and "Staircase" (I say new, these two songs were both played at the excellent Live In the Basement gig, which is a great performance) w...

Re: Facebook timeline: are you enjoying it?

I've had it for a month or so now and I really quite like it. Personally I think the cover photo is the best bit of it for me, and it does make your profile feel a little more personal to you. I've spent some time also going through my posts from a few years ago also which really made me cringe at s...

Re: TTF Euro Coaster Poll: Round 1, Group 2: VOTE NOW!

Heres my vote: 10. Avalanche - Looks short and doesn't really seem to have much going for it. Next! 9. Vicky - The Ride - Seems like a fun little ride, but doesn't make me compelled to go and ride it. 8. Drachenritt - The lift looks really well themed, but it all seems to dissolve afterwards. Other ...

The Preview / Test Thread

Flipping heck, that's incredible! Seriously, your ever increasing RCT3 skills never cease to blow me away. This seems to have a very "Captain-style" look about it (which is no bad thing by far).

Favourite debut albums

In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson certainly deserves a mention. As one of the first true "progressive rock" albums it really has had an impact on how music has moved on.

Re: TT Advent Calendar 2011

I found the Oblivion material really interesting today, if we're going to continue to get things like this then I'm really excited to see what else you guys have managed to get!

Re: Europa-Park 2012: GCI Woodie

Theres something a lot more exciting and awe-inspiring about the construction of a woodie compared to a steelie. Every time I see more of this being built it just amazes me how it all fits together perfectly and looks great. The fact its all being built by hand also just makes each extra addition mo...

Re: PortAventura 2012: B&M Coaster

Hmmm, the track colour combination isn't quite what I was expecting, I was thinking more dark blue with grey supports, but no matter! Still exciting to see yet another great looking coaster start to take shape along with the rest of next year's coasters, which are all looking fantastic!

Re: BG Williamsburg 2012: "Verbolten" multi-launch Zierer

I can definitely see where the dislike is coming from. It does seem quite cheap and tacky for this sort of high level attraction, and it certainly is not what I think most of us were expecting. However, it could provide a really unique experience, and I'll really have to make my mind up about what i...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

From what I can tell it's the first B&M non-standup incline loop, but a quick rcdb search comes up with a few sit downs from other manufactures. So no.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Like others on this thread, I still haven't quite made my mind up about this ride yet. Haven ridden Raptor a substantial amount of times earlier this year and getting the feel for the ride, I can really tell that both rides are going to be quite different. Other than the train design, these are two ...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

It's short, but I don't think it's that short. Theres loads more interesting things going on in the layout anyway which make up for the length, and unlike Shockwave, it doesn't have any long flat straight sections...

It may be short, but it should seriously be worth a queue more than 30 mins.
