Re: Winter Wonderland 2014 - Hyde Park London

Today I've found so new news from Mannings, and although I cannot reveal the latest plans, all I can say is I think A LOT of people will be very happy when hearing the news. There's BIG plans, all confirmed. Something new and very big is coming :) So does this mean the XXL is coming after all? I ca...

Re: Mantis conversion to a B&M Floorless

I rode Mantis last year. I did it around three times because he had NO QUEUE (one of the only roller coasters at Cedar Point to do so) all day. It's not hard to see why. The ride was quite possibly the most uncomfortable roller coasters I've ever experienced; even by B&M standards. Hopefully thi...

Re: Winter Wonderland 2014 - Hyde Park London

Nice to hear that Thriller will be making a return to Winter Wonderland. Even though it wasn't the best, I found it fun. I'm hoping for something new this time from overseas. Every year Hyde Park appears to become more 'thrilling' anyway and it's incredible to see how the event has come on since 200...

Alton Towers watermark- spectator ticket?

Just wanted to ask, is there a ticket available for the water park that allows for spectators to relax on the benches and soak up the atmosphere of the pools? A group of us are planning a trip to make a weekend at the Resort but not all want to swim.

Thanks

Re: Thunderbird - Holiday World - Opening 2015

Really didn't see this one coming; the first 'official' B&M launched roller coaster. Wasn't the Hulk's launch built by an external company? It does seem slightly bizarre they've decided to go with the Wing Rider design for their first launched attempt. I can imagine the trains are one of the hea...

Re: Funfairs, General Discussion.

As someone who has ridden the Mondial rival in France last year, I know what a spectacle and a thrill these gigantic machines are. So I'm guessing you rode Power Maxx? Heard good reviews about that machine, would personally ride Artistico though if I had to ride a Mistral, apparently the KMG versio...

Re: Funfairs, General Discussion.

It's very VERY exciting news to hear that finally a KMG XXL will take flight in Britain. Especially as there's only been a handful built since it debuted and presumably they are one of the most expensive products from KMG's catalogue due to their colossal size. From the looks of things, it would app...

But yea kinda surprised this ended up being in a zoo.

Re: Submission Replacement

It's good to see there's plans for a replacement. I think it would seem a bit odd if the space wasn't used for a new thrill ride considering X Sector's target audience. Personally, I would love to see something new and unique to the UK coming to the park. A ride from KMG would be good (providing it ...

Re: 'WILD FIRE' coming to Kolmarden Zoo

It almost doesn't look like it isn't humanly possible. What a way to welcome an inverting woodie to Europe. The first inversion is ridiculously odd but I love the look of the whole ride. It looks like it is going to make use of terrain rather well, too which is always a bonus! And it's rather fascin...

Re: Honest Merlin Opinions

I like the way Merlin try to be as innovative as possible when developing a new style of attraction, but I feel at times they are slightly too obsessed with the idea. The majority of visitors to the Towers are less likely to have experienced some of the best roller coasters in Europe (Blue Fire, Tro...

Re: What ride would you like Thorpe Park to remove next?

Storm Surge needs to go. It was an absolutely hideous addition to the park (water ride in Britain?!) and looks completely out of place. It baffles me why the park even purchased it anyway. It deserves to be on the scrap heap.

Re: Submission to be removed

It was one of the most painful 'thrill' rides out there but it is interesting they have shut it what appears to be very suddenly. I'm hoping for a replacement soon; a thrill ride to complete the X Sector line-up is a must. The park is running low on flat rides now with just two Huss classics left fo...

Re: Planned coaster for Ireland

Sounds like, if built, this coaster has the potential to be one of the best in the world. 62mph is pretty fast for a woodie if you ask me! Running Timberliner trains, this could be something quite spectacular. It will apparently also include inversions, if you believe what some of the local papers a...

Re: Drayton Manor Park Future

I didn't expect this at all. I thought Drayton's days of opening thrill rides were over so it's good to hear they are making investment for the thrill seekers. Good choice of ride, too. As someone who has ridden the original Air Race at Zamperla's Luna Park, it's actually one of the most enjoyable f...

Re: Heide Park's new B&M Wing Coaster

Looks superb. It's interesting how they have shortened the train to just six cars. Hopefully, it will make the ride run a little quicker around the inversions. This has the potential to be the best Winged Coaster from B&M to date.

Re: Thorpe Park: 2014 and beyond

The worst news I have heard from a UK theme park. EVER. And we have had a few disasters in this country. The Detonator re-theme is silly. To be honest, the whole of Thorpe is a mess at the moment. They have killed a fairly decent B&M Wing Coaster with the backwards seats which make the trains lo...

Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park - 23rd November 2013-5th January 2014

I paid a visit to Winter Wonderland over the weekend and I was quite impressed. The event this year is excellent. The ride selection is diverse and we have some quite unique machines with us this year. Gladiator is without doubt the star of the show and was pulling in quite a crowd despite the £8(!!...

looks nicer than this:

How is it possible to have a flat ride like that with just LAPBARS?!
