Re: Intamin LSM for Netherlands 2013

Astonishing. What a statement of intent. They already have a Schwarzkopf Looping Star and a Vekoma Junior, but as you say Sam this will really make them a major player. This coaster could well be slightly better than iSpeed - if the dimensions are pretty similar, then instead of the weird MCBR thing...

Re: RCT3 Project: Fissure Lake

Have I already started building test chambers out of panels which will construct the ride around you? No comment. That. Sounds. Awesome! Haha I have no idea how you would do it, but man, I hope you do. You have some great concepts, I think that's my favourite thing about your projects. Zen looks mu...

Re: 2012 Freefall Drop Coaster and Polar Land for Lego Billund

Well in that case fair enough, although I would still disagree. Let's guess that Polar Xplorer was about £6million, giving £2million for the other improvements. So for £6 million, Zierer have manufactured a coaster that fits the brief entirely, for the target market, with a decent outdoor section. T...

Re: 2012 Freefall Drop Coaster and Polar Land for Lego Billund

I wouldn't be disappointed if they received a Zierer model though. They've proven that they can do it just as well as Intamin but for a better price. Err what? They clearly can't do it as well as Intamin for the same price: the drop is CLEARLY much weaker, the throughputs look much lower, and the d...

Re: captain's Guide To Realistic Rapids

Steep. Did you delete the whole track that wasn't working and build a new track from scratch with the station in the new place? Other than that I have no idea! Very sorry Bote. RCT is a useless game sometimes. What you could do is put the station completely flat and see if they make the course? The ...

Re: captain's Guide To Realistic Rapids

Yes! Sorry I forgot to reply! The way I fixed it was simply to change the position of the station piece so it is on the other side of the station, 180 degrees away. So in the tutorial I said to place the station piece as soon as you are off the lifthill. To remedy the problem, place the first piece ...

Haha that has the most flanges I've ever seen!

I think I know what's in the building!

The banking looks good - I'm a big fan of the direction switch on the hill in the second to last picture.

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

£12 million?!!!! That is genuinely staggering. Some big ride vehicles, landscaping, couple of enclosures, few animals, a station - for 1.5 times the cost of say Rita or a Batman clone or twice the cost of a GCI woodie. How the park can afford that but not general maintenance or the Monkey Kingdom th...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I imagine a distinction can easily be made between racing and duelling coasters - in fact I think Dave you yourself made it a few pages back. On racing coasters such as Grand National both tracks follow exactly the same layout, whereas on a duelling coaster, such as Dragon Challenge, there are two n...

Re: Air Tunnel

I find the idea that they can't paint Air's Tunnel because of damp ludicrous. There are countless concrete structures, tunnels, walls, floors that get constantly exposed to damp that have been painted and are fine. Maybe they need a repaint every 3-5 years, but I would be extremely concerned if Alto...

This is great so far! A military themed wingrider and Asian dive machine? I really like it. I'd consider adding a few more details to the wingrider's station but it's all looking good so far.

Re: Willowside Park

Ace! Nice theme for the invert! :P The wreckage around the entrance looks really good and I love the concept of an indoor topscan. I agree with SIMR about the roofs though, I would try make them more continuous.

Looking good though!

Re: Elmington Park

Really good start! A nice solid base - and inspiration from Blithering Lodge for the Manor? Custom supports-wise, as ryanyoxall says you could get Moby's Steel Jungle , but Weber's Intamin Mini Coaster Supports would be good for the coaster you have, and JCat's MouseWorx has supports for the small o...

Re: Devoness Park

Firstly, I think it's great that you've gone for landscaped ground. In terms of conforming path covers, it actually seems there are really few that include curves! I hadn't really realised! You could use Shiggs713's Path Covers v2 , but alas they don't have straight-to-diagonal curves. What I've beg...

Re: BG Williamsburg 2012: "Verbolten" multi-launch Zierer

Amen. I think this is really bordering on proper thrill - two launches to almost 60mph including one into a building (!), mental stuff in the building including a 2 second long airtime hill,, the high speed helices, the disorientating effects and the freefall drop, and that huge final drop over the ...
