Re: SouthParks Southern Screamer - 17th May 2014

Our company has a corporate day at Thorpe Park on 17th too. Starting at 11am we have access to the park and then an hour 'exclusively' from 6pm-7pm on the coasters. Then a BBQ and party into 1am or something. Being a MAP holder this isn't a huge deal for me but I'll be there, so will most the office...

They doubled their total Annual Pass numbers in January. I'd say they sold just fine :P

Re: Scorpion Express

A few Scorpion Express facts: 1) The water dribbles out the scorpion at the moment, this is because it comes from a shared tank (with other attractions) and has run out/low. As a result the whole thing needs a new tank and is getting one asap. 2) The advert was filmed on Mammut at Gardaland. Merlin ...

Re: Chessington - General Discussion

So, this happened... 1 week ago today, March 19th (CWoA's opening day). I proposed to my girlfriend on our 8th anniversary together. I couldn't have done this without the key staff at Chessy and the hotel, everyone was brilliant. My (now) fiancée is obsessed with giraffes and I thought this was fitt...

Ads. I know they need them (although they have enough followers to get people to pay for it tbh), but when they appear at the top.

Solution: turn aeroplane mode on = no adds :)

Germany September 2013

Hello everyone, When I went to Florida for 3 weeks in 2011 I asked your help. The advice I received was incredible. When I went to Portaventura in 2012 your helpful advice was yet again appreciated. So, 2014. I am asking your advice again. Many thanks in advance to those who can help. I am looking a...

Re: Thorpe Park: 2014 and beyond

Ah finally, I can talk about it. I had no idea about the Detty re-theme though, just thought it was all new stuff.

Like I said before, great idea, just not too keen they have gone for an IP.

2014 new uk attractions

I heard a rumour that Thorpe were doing some etching to the 4D theater. I know they have Vengeance 5D from the old Dungeons, but I doubt they would install that as the throughput would be so low. Also, Alton Towers will most likely still focus on marketing The Smiler, hopefully correcting major iss...

I agree! It's only about a 15min walk, much better than queuing for the monorail!

Re: 2013 Scarefest

Quick question guys: The Scarefest freedom ticket (whole event). Is it like an Annual Pass thing (has your picture on) and does it include unlimited fasttrack for CoS? I only ask as I can't see it mentioned on the website but once you go to book (and read the little t&cs) it says fasttrack is on...

Usually Scarefest, by far.

Aimed at Family's I would say. Not huge, wont take that long to erect but should be fun.

Whilst I wish I could tell you (this isn't a 'I know a secret you don't') I have been instructed to keep everything under wraps but I am sure it'll all be announced soon enough.

Re: Merlin Attraction Incidents

Ah Wikipedia, almost there... including Phantom Phantasia, which was completely destroyed. *Wicked Witches Haunt metal fell off the "Rush ride" and fell 100 feet. Not quite, the top of Rush's tower isn't anywhere near that height. The video of said incident (The Sun-yuk) is online somewher...
