Re: Highest Point Question

Great pictures, thanks!

It's odd to see that the park really isn't as big as it may seem from walking around.

Re: The Great Composers of the Alton Towers Era

Alton Towers definately has some of the best music at any Theme Park, so it's really hard to decide. I voted for Graham Smart mainly for his work outside of Alton Towers.

Congratulations. It's such a shame that RCT3 is so limiting.

Re: New TV Advert - All Time Greats!

Wow. Congrats to Towers for pulling off such a unique Marketing Scheme so well. I'm glad they've added to mood boards to the hotels for us fans. The tubes idea for voting is really clever as well, although it looks like Oblivion could do with some help. The picture below the tubes contradicting the ...

Re: New TV Advert - All Time Greats!

I like the posters, they're not going to be there for long, and have a sense of humour, not dissimilar to the humour on lots of the old Alton Towers rides. They're not unsensitive to theming, I can imagine they are only on ride entrances. Hey, maybe they've covered up the fanta advertising on Oblivi...

Re: Grand Canyon Rapids Slides

Wow. Alton Towers looks beautiful. The rapids look really bare, but there's something about not being surrounded which makes it more adventurous. All the mascots and park entertainments look amazing, bring them back!

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Last time was rather pathetic. Although I did get grounded for going on the internet before school to find out what it was called. :^o I think the only sin this "Les Coogan" did was to recruit Crack Squads, if he didn't go this far there wouldn't have been all the annoyance. It went from i...

Re: LC12 - by Fredward

 Someone please send Thorpe Park pictures of the final product. I get the feeling this may be better than the actual ride.

Re: Efteling: Hartenhof 2013 and The Future

She'll be a wreck :P It looks beautiful, only Efteling would go and make Frog fountains that massive! This will be so so magical.I'm a little bit saddened at the need to add a platform in front of Fata Morgana, and kill the mirage like reflection off the lake. I'm not sure if the massive budget is a...

Re: Help us help the park: Merlin - Their Response:

That is a great response. I'm really glad he's had a look at the fanta sponsorship, and will hopefully make sure nothing like it happens again. As long as this is not all talk and no substance I'm very happy for Merlin to be in charge of Alton Towers.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

TBH I get really fed up of this constant Thorpe bashing. It is, and will be even more with Merlin's input, a theme park. I don't get how people can say it's an amusement park, when it is nothing like one. Thorpe theming is actually rather good in parts. Phantasialand is a theme park, but it's so sma...

The islands been there for a few years now. All of Thorpe's infilling for a while now has been completed, this includes SAW, SAW:Alive, LC12, 2015 coaster and I think 2018.

Bravo is only one of the 5 crack squads. This guy has chosen to do the videos himself, so it's not really a hoax.

That looks horrendous, and ridiculous. It seems like Cedar Fairs idea of opening many across their parks wasn't a great move.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

I'd agree Adz, it is a step down from the on-park advertisement, but don't forget this ride is over half a year off! They're just trying to keep the ball rolling until 01.08.11, which, I presume, is when the marketing will get big.

I completely understand, but first people were amazed at the coverage of the park in posters and Les Coogan being on park on peak days, now your complaining its over the top. :?

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

I understand what you are saying, but I still don't think that Mexicana, Transylvania, Mystic East actually do take themselves too seriously. Transylvania is very cartoon, Counts Cauldron shows this very well. It's all been portrayed though a way which makes it more appealing to children's imaginati...

As part of the promotion Les has formed his crack squads they are in competition, they are on facebook, maybe worth a like.

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

I just think Wild Asia lacks all the gimmicks that makes an area amazing. Banyan (Plus maybe the Tuk Tuk and Bag photo ops) are practically the only parts of the area, which have been designed to entertain. First impressions of the area look like a multi-story car park, completely grey and bland, it...
