Duel's queue is normally so short, I'd be surprised if people didn't bother with it :/

Re: Popular rides you don't usually bother with

The main one I miss out is Oblivion. It gets old really quickly, and the last time I went on it, it felt really tame. I'd go on it, but it's not a ride I go out of my way to ride, unlike the other coasters.

Re: AVATAR Coming To Disney Parks

I think it's a great idea to have an Avatar-themed area. Whilst most of the internet seems content with just moaning about how they think Avatar is just Pocahontas/Dancing With Wolves mixed with The Smurfs, I for one liked it. Pandora is a very pretty environment, and even though there's just the on...

Re: Scarefest 2011

I've never been to Scarefest before, so I always assumed that the mazes were actually in the park itself. It'll certainly be a bit of an inconvenience to have to leave the park just for your slot on the maze.

Alton Towers Official iPhone/Android App

Ok, I tried searching to find a thread already on this topic but couldn't find anything, so apologies if it has already been talked about. I just found out that Alton Towers have their own iPhone and Android apps available for free from their respective stores. I downloaded both of them (I have an i...

Re: Scarefest 2011

I'm gonna be going to my first ever scarefest on the 29th October. I'm just wondering how packed.the park gets. Would.it be worth buying fasttrack tickets?

Fair enough, I thought you meant that when it came to dinner you'd refuse to eat anything that was warm :/

Re: The "I hate uni" topic

The first time I went to university I dropped out after two months. This was largely due to where I was living. I was put in one of the quiet blocks, where people wanted complete silence and would complain excessively if here was the smallest amount of noise. One of the lecturers really scared me as...

Re: The 'I Feel Down' Topic

I'm in a bit of a messed up mood at the moment. I've recently ignored someone although I'm starting to regret acting like that. They stopped talking to me/ignored me a while ago, we talked quite a lot before and I thought they genuinely took an interest in me which no one has ever so happily done. ...

Re: (Poll) What is the catchiest Alton towers music ever?

I have Duel as my ringtone. It's such a good tune. But the most catchy music from Alton Towers is either Toyland Tours or Ug Land. Shame they both are now gone, but they were rather fun tunes that got stuck in your head. The Flume's tune is good duck music, though.

Re: Blade site: wasted space?

I think a few people are missing the point. I wasn't making out that a swinging ship such as Blade is wasted space in a theme park and should be removed, I was simply saying the site it's on has much more potential. Really? To be honest, I can't think of many other rides that could make the most of...

I think that's it's biggest fault. It's a fun ride, but it's pretty damn painful to ride, especially if you have something in your pocket. I think they should change the restraints rather than scrap it, though.

Re: Blade site: wasted space?

I quite like The Blade. It's nothing special, but it's nice to go on once in a while, especially as it never has a queue. Plus it's a part of one of my funniest memories of Alton Towers (a middle-aged asian man sitting at the back, with a look of terror in his face, letting off the weirdest-sounding...

Re: Alton Towers' Best and Worst Adverts

Alton Towers has always had good adverts, for as long as I can remember. The 1994 advert was the first memory I have of the park's existance, and whilst it was two years before I went there first it always stuck in my mind and made me want to go there. It was magical, yet spooky, and was something I...
