Gotta love those Tikka wraps from Mutiny Bay - with extra Chilli sauce. Yum!

Re: Lightwater Valley 2010 discussion

Anyone coming with us next month? Nice ERS planned too whoop! Can't wait to ride Raptor Attack. Rat Ride was a favourite of mine, OK it may just be a Wildcat but I'm a bit of a dark ride fanboy anyway. Really excited about the retheme and from what we've seen (though trying not to spoil it too much)...

Re: What will they take away from the park in the next 5 years?

I agree entirely Tonka! Apparantly, they're being reinforced each year and that process is said to be finate.
We agree with all you're about to say, which is why I remain sceptical until something is announced publicly.

Re: Home Videos 1994 & 1996 (Youtube)

I always had a vague memory of Squirrel Nutty being a pedal system, but having ridden it lately I was worried I'd mixed a childhood memory up with somewhere else. That video just reassured me that it definitely was at Towers! Anyone know when the changeover to powered cars happened? It was always p...

Re: What will they take away from the park in the next 5 years?

Submission should go purely on the basis of it being a ball crushing leg wrecking bore. Agreed. Now don't shoot me down for what you're about to read. We were on park again today talking to one of our sources who told us about Nemesis' foundation issues. Another source (reliable) told us ear...

Towers for me - due to the magic of the place.

And another thing - hate Thorpe's marketing on their website and POP.

Re: So, what job do you do?

Software Implementer & Trainer I work at sites all over the UK to prepare and cleanse data in a branch's old dos-based system, oversea the migration of that data to the new system's database. Train all the users on how to use the new windows based system along with delivering basic windows skill...

Re: Drayton Manor and G Force restraints?

To clarify and reassure the OP - these restraints have a two-way lock motion. It isn't, as you may be thinking, a simpl "hinge & lock" arrangement. These restraints "hinge, slide-towards and lock" if that makes sense? So you'll sit down, close the bar from the side, then adju...

Re: New Water Coaster 2012

As much as I think coasters/rides look ace - you wouldn't want anything spoiling the view of the Towers from towers street.

Re: New Computer Systems at AT Hotels

Yup, read this in Pulse - maybe they should have had me on site for the software implementation? It's what I do for a living. Whoop There will always be teething problems when changing any system like this - we get plenty at work but it keeps me in a job. :) Opera Fidelo its named - or something. :)...

Re: Black Hole 3

Well there seems to be a main focus on Thi3teen's world first feature, rather than the latter so wouldn't like to spoil it for those trying to keep blinkers on. That said, its June so if you're really into it you should have ridden it by now. :P OK back on topic.. Sure,I wasn't meaning it won't be d...

Contains Thi3teen Spoiler

Don't forget [spoiler:1iip0mc1]Thi3teen has the dark and the backwards elements. This makes it highly unlikely that Alton will repeat this feature in the near future.[/spoiler:1iip0mc1]

Re: The Future of the Blackhole Tent

Think of the expense of relocating Rita, which has already just been "themed" to escape from Thi3teen. Then, you'd have a void where Rita stands now - so you move the problem, rather than solving it? I can understand parks relocating flat rides (come on bring Dynamo back!) but not large co...

Re: A Blast From The Past!

I doubt that Alton would bring another launched attraction to the park, with Rita in place.
But you're right, I sure miss it. Thankfully had chance to ride Turbine at Belgium a few times since Towers removed TL.

Re: Rita

I wasn't a fan of Rita when it first opened, but like it a bit more now so long as I get on a jolt-free ride. Do think it's lovely to look at though, as below!

Re: Submission

Really do not like this ride - I think it's fun to watch when it's being run as a double inverter but the 2nd side is redundent these days.
I'm a bit of a flat ride fan, but this is actually listed as my worst flat UK ride - do not like it at all.
