Re: Your Very First Rollercoaster!

The New Beast in (as it was then) Thunder Valley. I absolutely loved the ride to bits, although sadly never had the courage to do the Thunder Looper.

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

I think they should have an amazing dive machine with a proper ride after it not just ending it straight away or adding some gimmick at the end to claim it as a ride. Although that would bring an end to oblivion. That won't happen for several reasons. TP already have two coasters with a vertical el...

Re: Are you allowed a GoPro camera on the rollercoasters?

Hmmm, interesting one. I was at a park recently with a friend, and he was filming POV videos with a Go Pro camera on a wrist strap. The management team were far more interested in where the resulting video was going to be published...

Re: Theme park clothing?

You're never too old to wear theme park gear. I'm 30 and have a range of AT clothing...in fact I always wear my Blivvy hoody out and about.

I think this post calls for a picture:

Re: Brinston Gardens

OMFG. this is fu*king AMAZING! can i go can i goooo? :D OMG! Put something like an SLC in and i will officially fall in love. 100000000/10. Thanks! The park already has a top quality B&M inverted coaster, so I don't have any plans to install a SLC yet. I've plenty of big ideas for this park, so...

There used to be a lone shoe at the ledge to Oblivion's hole.

Re: What makes Alton Towers your favourite theme park?

The fact that you can admire the most beautiful gardens in Staffordshire and five minutes later ride one of the best inverts in the world. Alton Towers is just in a league of its own.

Re: Brinston Gardens

Part 2 - Pirate Kingdom and Little Africa Pirate Kingdom hasn't changed much in the seven or eight years since I last visited. We did the pirate ship several times before grabbing some lunch in the pizza restaurant. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/jltf2010_2010/533530_440315736032575_207501...

A few Sky Park/Festiva Land pictures from 2001, just before the Corkscrew was removed: Entrance to Festiva Land - Sky Park looks very similar today http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/jltf2010_2010/405075_438226172908198_770982431_n.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/jltf2010_2010/18396...

Re: RCT Quick Questions

Hold the shift key and drag the catwalk up so it levels with the track.  You also want the Griffon catwalks for the wingrider model. Have a look here: http://rctdb.com/custom-tracked-rides/g ... -catwalks/

That would be Ripsaw the cat  :)

I haven't seen it for myself, but there's apparently some old Thunder Looper scenery still in the Blade pit.

It was down on Tuesday night, too. I don't think I've had many trips where Rita hasn't broken down.

Re: Alton towers in cold/wet

Hmm, I think you're being a tad dramatic TBH  I was there on the 24th as part of a two day trip, and didn't think it was too bad at all. Indeed, I managed 18 rides and three mazes (one of which had an hour long queue) in about seven hours. Philnortheast, it will only get progressively colder f...

Re: Best and Worst Queue Lines At Alton

Best queuelines Nemesis -  it's something to be admired as well as ridden. The queueline uses space and the surrounding landscape to its advantage. Oblivion - it's long and windy, yet the themeing is pretty impressive. Lush plants, sinister dystopian scenery and queueline videos to amuse (or t...

Re: Best THEMED theme park in britain?

Drayton Manor; With the expection of Thomasland and Cartoon network street, the park has a long way to go. Park is tired and dated with boardered up windows on Shockwave and how dirty Stormforce 10, Splash Canyon and Pirate Adventure have become plus Excalibur doesn't operate half the time. Ironic,...

Thanks Boz! I identified it straight away as being the height restriction announcement. Odd that I've never heard it before. Maybe the park aren't allowed to play announcements throughout the year, due to noise and neighbour issues?
