Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

On Saturday I was planning on arriving with my group at 9am and pre-queue during ERT. But if they aren't opening it until later in the morning, is there value in doing this? There's loads of value in doing this. Hopefully before long they'll start opening it earlier as the ride beds in. We sprinted...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Has anyone else heard of an inversion needing to be lowered following yesterday's stall? A builder told my uncle that they need to change a bit of track.

The Merlin Annual Pass

That's a joke if true. I hope that most people would refuse the product if if happened go them. I certainly would.

Re: The Smiler - Other Discussion

He designs the layout to rides. I don't know if he has a degree in physics but he will certainly know what does work and what won't. He doesn't design rides in the complete sense of the word, as in he doesn't design the track type, how it is support, brakes, operated etc. Those problems are solved b...

Re: B&M for the Air Car Park?

Who wants a lumbering and boring latter-day B&M? Unless they're going to show bravery with elements such as Nemesis helix again, I'd rather they didn't bother. They layouts of the past decade have been largely snooze-inducing.

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Hi guys ... First post on this thread Anyways, after reading John Wardley's interview on the radio I can see he claimed the ride to be, the most track per sqr metre in the world. Is this therefore the confirmed world-record or am I playing catch up? Well that may be a record if his claims are true,...
