I might be able to upload a picture of my half finished final piece that I've been painting over the past few days.

Re: Car park improvements

...and don't be suprised if the signs for the express start simply saying parking, then a tiny sign saying  'other parking' which would be infact cheaper! They'd never do that. They wouldn't even be allowed to do that. You're suggesting that Alton Towers will start to mislead people to take mo...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts

In my opinion, the value for money point is definitely a valid one. I used to go with my friends to Alton Towers a couple of times a year. But I haven't gone with them since last Easter now. They just aren't prepared to pay any more. If it weren't for my MAP, I probably wouldn't be able to go either...

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

My point regarding Vampire's music being too low and the ride op being too imposing stands but then I have a feeling that it's only certain ops that do this because we visited two months before and the music was more or less at the right volume, although the ride op was still quite loud then. Either...

Re: Oblivion - No Limits Recreation

Ah it's okay, I can make all of my own stuff as I too use Sketchup, I just wondered how you made the tunnel. I'll have too look at the 'follow me' feature' and see what I can do with it. Thanks! :D

Re: Oblivion - No Limits Recreation

Looks like you've made a good start to this project. Recreations are always difficult, but what you have here is pretty good! May I ask what programme you used to make the 3D bits and bobs? It looks good and I could do with being able to make some things for a new project that I'm working on. Keep i...

Re: Car park improvements

Perhaps Alton Towers should change over the lanes for the next day when it actually is the next day. People will still be exiting the water park, golf and the two hotels after the park has closed, so the maintenance staff should stay in the one lane that heads into the park until they arrive early t...

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

The ops in Vampire's station are that loud that you can't even hear yourself, let alone the music. And it's practically every minute that they're doing it. People were half way through saying something and had to stop until the ride ops had finished. I agree that Chessington wouldn't be here without...

Re: Car park improvements

I'd like to see them sort out how the road are used. There are two roads going in as the park opens and then it changes to two going out when it's the end of the day. Simple, yes? Well that wasn't the case a few months back when we were driving out of the park and were almost completely obliterated ...

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

Back from my second proper trip to Chessington today and it's quite shocking to see how badly maintained the park is. Here are a few points: 1. The figures in the Vampire queue are embarrassing. Their faces are cracked, paint is flaking off them and their robes are almost worn away completely around...

That's just having inversions for the sake of it. I hope the next big coaster doesn't have 9 inversions. :|

Aesthetically pleasing coasters

I don't think there's a topic for this yet, so here goes... There are many, many coaster out there and some of them look particularly awesome. Post pictures and information on roller coasters that you think look good, or amazing pictures of roller coasters, etc... I'll start off with the reason I st...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts

Why is it that Merlin have decided to go for building major attractions every three years instead of every four? A new major attraction every four years was absolutely fine. It gave Tussauds time to work out everything before opening a new ride that didn't look finished or didn't satisfy guests by a...

Re: Etnaland 2013: "The Storm" Mack Coaster

Sorry, Mack's own megalite. Happy now? :P Sorry, still not happy. The model is a Mack Mega Coaster. :D *waves a white flag* Sorry, I wasn't stating it was a megalite, just that it's Intamin's megalite rival. I love how everyone else describes it as a megalite and I'm the one that gets picked-on for...

Wow! These three attractions look fantastic! I love the haunted school and the mine train looks equally as fun as the Mack megalite. AND THAT THEMING! LOTS OF LOVELY THEMING! :D :P

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts

Whenever something happens to lessen a day at Alton Towers then I'll always make a comment. I love to go on the Skyride across the park because it provides some fantastic views of the surroundings and it has become an iconic part of the park. This decision hasn't pleased me, and I'm not surprised th...

What would be the point? It'd just get changed back the next day, in terms of major changes or plans created.

So I guess I'd just close Towers to the public and experience a ridiculously quiet day on-park with friends.

It's purely hypothetical.

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

I can't imagine the staff are very pleased about this. But I don't suppose they or anyone else are surprised at the move, given what is happening at the other Merlin Parks. Have there been any similar area  or select ride operation cuts made at Heide Park, Gardaland or any of the other Legoland...
