Re: Quick Questions

Also, I was wondering how long it takes to walk from the ca park to the park/ how long the monorail queue is at around 9:15? Want to get into the park quickly! Also how long are the ticket queues? You want to be getting the first monorail services from 8.30 to be honest. When is the first monorail ...

Re: Quick Questions

So I'm a bit confused, can anyone get in the park at 9 but if you bought the tickets at the gate you can't get on the rides, or do the ticket gates not open until 10? Anyone can access the park from 9. Anyone can queue up for The Smiler from 9. Only hotel guests, MAP holders and online pre-books ca...

Re: Why Don't People Like Rita?

I like it too. Obviously the theming is absolutely rubbish, but the launch does pack-a-punch and I love that first turn. To me, Thirteen is more of a bland ride to me and I find Air so boring; its way too slow. Here's my coaster list: ? The Smiler 1. Nemesis 2. Oblivion 3 .Rita 4. Sonic Spinball 5. ...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I believe you're allowed into the park, and could wait around or queue (whatever you want to call it) for a ride outside of the actual queue line. As The Smiler isn't on ERT anyone can join the queue that forms and wait until 10am, which is when everyone has access to all the rides, so long as they...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

It seems people have forgotten that Alton Towers don't have to revalidate tickets to nearly every customer who goes to guest services. Especially because only one ride has closen down for the day. Given, the ride is The Smiler and has only opened for 4 days, but there's nothing stopping them from g...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

i can only imagine the loss of money for all these re validated tickets. people are just being mardy. why let one ride ruin your day. theres plenty of others to enjoy. just go ride nemesis and be damn happu :D It's not just 1 ride though is it? It's the Smiler, Oblivion, Submission and Enterprise. ...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Call me crazy and most of you will disagree but is there a possibility it will open tomorrow? The only reason I say this is because they have been saying that it won't open at least a day in advance on day to day basis and there has been no confirmation that it won't be open tomorrow. I mean what a...

Changing the mood a bit.. (I'm getting bored ranting about smilers problems.) On a popositive note. What does the ride look like? In directing at the people Who have seen it. Im going next Tuesday. Can't wait. It looks huge. It is huge. It just looks like one tangled mess (in a good way though). Th...

Can I suggest something for people who are claustrophobic and are complaining about long queues.

Don't queue up when the queue is long.

Just checked the Alton Tower's site, and it simply says 'Due to technical issues The Smiler is currently closed'.
