Re: Water parks near Europa

Thanks for the input. Yes its going to be my first visit to Europa. I think we will only spend two days there though because generally we work our way round fairly quick and did portaVentura in one day without missing anything. Having not been to Europa I can't compare and its not easy to judge from...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

I would love to hear that the swarm has evolved to 4d trains but I cant imagine that happening with the cost of the initial trains unless they have landed in the us for gatekeeper.

Actually this sounds like the rumoured x:/wtf refurb

Water parks near Europa

I have just booked my flights for europa park on my 30th birthday in June this year. We are going for 4.5 days so i plan to spend two days at europa park and then two days looking around the area. If there is nothing better to do, we will spend a spare day at Black forest and another day in the swis...

Grieving for his loss and working at North Central penetentiary, he realises that the soul of his loved one has been inexpicably transfer...

Has anyone ever attempted to write a novel?

I have been suggested by several people that I should put pen to paper and write to see what happens. I have recently played through Farcry 3 and having shot at pixels for another three weeks, I decided to go for it and 'see what happens'. Im not trained or familier with reading or writing novels bu...

Re: The LGBT Topic

I also live in a quiet and conservative village but I have had no issues with sexuality. We are by far the youngest in town with the average age being over 50 and Hugh Grant living a few doors down. The locals have been totally accepting of us. Perhaps im lucky but I think it comes down to being mor...

Houses for sale in Stoke for £1

Just been reading an article about houses for sale in Stoke for £1 with a low interest loan available to do it up. I found a spare £1 in my wallet so I can now afford one! But I cant find them for sale anywhere. Does anyone know any more about this?

Nolimits 2 Update

Just seen an update for NL with a few screenshots and a short clip showing a B&M Dive machine interacting with water. Looks great!

Re: Poll: How often do you visit Alton Towers per year?

My last visit to AT was the year before Charlie and the Chocolate factory opened. Nothing has been built since to warrant the 5 hr drive but I may go next year depending on how SW7 turns out.

The historic Towers

I was just looking at pictures of the SW7 site and Towers and my partner overlooked and commented that it was a terrible shame that such a beautiful building was being wasted amongst the grounds of a theme park. Even with my bias towards the theme parks and rides, I kind of agree with him. It seems ...

Yeh I think you summed it up perfectly in the last few words. The guys on rollercoasterphilosophy.com would share your liberation though.

Re: Making a home made hot tub

OK so for an update on the home made hot tub....Its been chopped up into little pieces. I could not get rid of the sticky chemical substance off the sides and bottom and when it touched my skin it burnt it away so I decided that I was never going to let anyone get inside it for a bath no matter how ...

Re: Legalisation/Decriminalisation of Cannabis

I dont see the need to legalise Cannibis. Its easily obtainable and can be found everywhere. If you do get caught in posession, you only get a caution so its no big deal. The only thing you cant do is smoke it openly on the street these days so if someone wants to smoke at home then theres nothing t...

Re: Making a home made hot tub

OK I took the first step in purchasing a 1000lt IBC container from a local supplier for £40. I have stumbled at the first hurdle however. I was so mixed up in choosing the right colour (went for black to reduce algae growth) I neglected to check what had been stored inside the thing. Turns out the c...

Making a home made hot tub

I was thinking the past few days of making a home made hot tub out of a second hand 1000lt IBC water container with cladding, run by a log fire and heat exchanger. I reckon the whole lot will cost less than £200 to complete and after looking on youtube I realised that someone had already done exactl...

Oh no! I always look forward to my triple whopper each time I visit Thorpe. Plus that menue looks the most un-appetising thing I have ever seen, even for blackpool.

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

If we were going to see a flat ride addition, surely we would have seen a planning application by now? What ever is going to happen for next year is due to open in less than 6 months.

Re: How Would You Feel About a New UK Theme Park?

I think if we were going to see a large park being developed, we would have already seen an existing park expanding beyond the current ramshackle portacabin buildings that we see in smaller parks. (and largest ones) We have a load of places that seem to level out at the holiday leaflet stage. If a l...

Re: Worst Flat Rides

For me its the classic Waltzer. We had someone constantly spinning us when I went on one with my sister once and we were going so fast we couldnt open our rib cages to breath properly from the forces. Neither of us could muster enough breath to shout or scream to stop spinning so we came off and pas...
