Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon World

TBF what would happen if a b&m winged coaster were to come into a turn that strong? The sides would fly off, derail or just take damage. I suppose it's better than the game allowing painfully unrealistic coasters into the park. I think it's important to remember that this is a game, and as such...

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

On the flip side, with recent reports about how quiet it's been, it could easily be the busiest day of the summer, as it may be some peoples first day off this august.

I was there on Friday, so it's definitely still on, I think this coming weekend is the last one :O

Re: 2015 Scarefest

No scarefest previews either this year, just soft openings of the mazes. Sources are pretty much any staff member on the admissions gate, can't remember any specific names. Staff are not a reliable source though. They are well known to play with enthusiasts and get their hopes up. I don't trust any...

Does this information come from the same "sources" who told you about SW8? ;)

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

The fact it says "more minds wanted" makes me seriously consider that they may be planning to continue the Ministry of Joy theme. I really hope they don't, however, a cross-park theme just doesn't seem right to me.

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

The poster on the wall there could possibly suggest a horror theme? Sounds like another "During recent excavations, we unearthed a horrible secret" style rides.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

It's down to 35 now, so it must have been a mistake. Just slightly off topic, 350 minutes is 5.8 hours so if you joined the queue at 11, you would leave at about 4:45 :D

Re: SW8

And we are finally away from cross valley talk. Can I clarify that, as a very keen historian and from what I have heard from thin air (no, I will not disclose, so don't ask) there is absolutely NO WAY SW8 will be a cross valley. I would stake reasonable money on it not being a cross valley coaster,...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

That last one is a ridiculous piece of journalism, I fail to believe that a staff member would've even nearly uttered those words. It also makes it sound as if they believe that parents who did allow their kids to go are bad parents.

Would it be possible to get a notification when something you post is quoted?

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Not to defend them, but I'm guessing the 27mph is from the lift hill itself, not the ride. Still an utterly ridiculous thing to be reporting.

Re: Which SW coaster do you think will be removed first

Air, with any luck, will go first No chance, it regularly has queues, it is about to have renovation around it with the new restaurant and new stuff. It's one of the most popular rides on park. I'd say Rita will go first, granted it has queues but that's mainly down to throughput, not popularity. R...

Re: Which SW coaster do you think will be removed first

Oh of course, and I call myself an enthusiast :lol . In that case I'd go for 13. Obviously I'm talking many years away but it just doesn't pull guests in like the other SW's

It would be nice to see the ride looking how it was originally planned to although I doubt that would happen.

Re: Air 2016 retheme

Stolen from TT Facebook, some info would be good: " Alton Towers have submitted a planning application for improvements to Air, including enhancing the ride station, installation of a photo opportunity kiosk, and the addition of new themed features. " Very interesting, looks like they are ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Sorry, I know this is off topic slightly, but take ridetimes with a pinch of salt because if you are looking at queues during the week, the weekend will be busier than that. Also, ridetimes isn't well known for accuracy. I can remember being on park and it saying the biggest queue was 15 minutes, wh...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

I'd say a maximum of 30 minutes queue for rides. Also, for future reference, there is a "how busy will it be?" topic here http://forum.towerstimes.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=34678 :D
