Re: General Thorpe Park Discussion

Well it says 2014 plans... so these 3 ideas we seen posted on facebook were themes for the crashpad / waterfront hotel, and as we will probably see the shipping container hotel stay for probably at least another 5 years or more, wouldn't be surprised if they theme it and keep it as long as possible....

Re: Merlin to take over Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

same situation as drayton manor... a great family run park who will refuse to sellout - individual theme park sometimes offer better experiences, just a shame they don't have the same level of investment behind them!

Re: General Thorpe Park Discussion

Something with the idea of hugging to the ground making the most of speed and not height would be more suited to Alton towers due to height restrictions and Thorpe would want to make the most of being allowed taller rides, and I'm sure merlin knows this and takes it into account when planning the ri...

Re: February Half Term 2014

in all fairness it does say from just £15.00... so it does cover themselves in a sense, although it is cheeky as i thought it was still £15 when i went to book it and only when i went through to actually book then told me it was £18 each which i then had to confirm with my friends!

Re: 2014 Scarefest

I reckon we'll see the sanctuary leaving... And as Thorpe have done with their asylum (although not sure about this year due to the criticism), it would be stupid for Alton to completely change TOTT, although I'd love to see it changed slightly to make it better for the people that have been in it s...

Re: February Half Term 2014

I'm also off tomorrow and have booked my tickets the other day, unfortunately it has gone up to £18 per adult from £15 which was advertised earlier back... I think I'm correct in saying that it's £20 each on the day. Hope this helps.

Re: The best UK theme park

As for best kept / most looked after park I am shocked myself at saying this but it would have to be Blackpool Pleasure Beach... Since my visit in 2008 and when I went again last year there have been so many improvements and the park is pretty immaculate! My favourite park has to be Alton Towers as ...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

So in other words they haven't got round to sorting the packs out as I doubt anyone has received them yet, and saying there are some available at the attractions this week, but only if you're going to use it, so how can they prove that, and what if you get one will they still send another one to you...

Re: Submission Replacement

Well surely as it was decided half way through closed season there must have been an issue with it to no longer make it feasible to keep the ride. Considering this last minute decision, I'm 99% sure we won't see anything in its place this season and the main structure will probably still be in place...

Re: Drayton Manor Park Future

I love Drayton Manor... it may not have the Rollercoasters like Alton Towers, as both Shockwave & G-force are unique but pretty poor - Drayton Manor have amazing thrill rides, compared to Alton Towers poor lineup!

I intend to buy a drayton manor annual pass, and visit at least 3 times or so!

Re: SW8

With Rita around though I doubt we'll see another launch coaster, or with the launch(es) being the main part of the ride. I really wish if that plan was real that it went ahead back then, imagine the possibilities with no Rita, and Ug Land coming to an end!

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Has anyone got their bloomin perk package in the post yet!?

It says for half term, but which one, I wouldn't be surprised if they meant and intend to send it out beginning of April for the easter half term, as it's only alton towers that's open with rides this half term!

Re: General Thorpe Park Discussion

I just hope Thorpe don't go too far the other way though and completely ditch their 'Thrill Capital' tag and not see anything thrilling in the next few years besides the next big coaster which we're not even sure when that's coming!

Re: Is the New London Dungeon as Scary as the Original?

I went to the old one back in october 2009, and visited the new one one in september... From what I remember the new one isn't as scary/gory as the old one (not sure if that's just because I'm now 19 instead of 15 back then), but I certainly found the new one to be more enjoyable as the script had a...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I have recently got a merlin premium pass... Planning on visiting Dungeons, Madame Tussaud's And the London eye - is there a different entrance you can use, for which do you generally have to queue to get into the attraction (don't worry I'm not going on a weekend), and do they just scan your pass a...

Re: Submission Replacement

Different people have different views on what's a good ride though... Whatever they replace it with isn't going to please everyone, although any thrill ride has gotta be better than submission aha!
