Chessington World Of Adventures - 20/05/2012

Today I visited Chessington for my first visit of the year. It was strangely quiet for a weekend, with queues peaking at 30 mins, but generally staying around the 20 minute mark for Vampire, Dragons Fury and Rattlesnake. We arrived at 9.30 expecting to wait until park opening at 10, but instead we w...

Re: Europa-Park: Trip Planning, Questions and Advice!

Great topic. I'm going to EP in a few weeks and have got myself permission to film on-ride POVs. Quick Question: do any of the rides have front row queuelines, or is it a go where you're put sort of thing? Will they let me on front row if I ask for it so I can film?

Can't we just call it the amazing new mack coaster and be done with it?

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

Im sure I read somewhere in the MTDP exactly what swEDEN said about the loops. I expect it means inversions, and it says up to 9 loops, probably just meaning that it won't steal the record off colossus. I seriously dont expect(or want) a 9 inversion coaster at Thorpe.

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

But Thorpe's target audience don't like anything without inversions, except Stealth because that's da well sikk fast one innit bruv. So unless they can come up with something unique without inversion then they won't be interested. That's why I think a woodie wouldn't work (as much as I want one).

Re: Gardaland: B&M "Raptor" 2011

Scare maze? we've had Saw Alive and Krake Lech(dunno if I've spelt that right  :P) so I don't see why they couldn't try. If it works for Krake then it can work for Raptor.

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

It's a good idea, but how would they market it? And the last SW was based purely on trick track. Although as said before, this has an amazing layout aswell to back it up.

Gerstlauer good? Have you been on SAW-The Ride?
Although I admit Speed was very smooth...

Anyway my money is on some new concept that will appear in the next few years. Although a Mack Megacoaster would be nice  :P

They could probably fit one in, but fitting it in isn't the problem the height limit is.

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

The problem is the fact that the park is surrounded by a lake, so the water table is very high, meaning that any holes that are large enough for a coaster would cost a lot to build so that they don't flood. I read somewhere that some of the footers for stealth go 50 metres deep because of the soft g...

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

I can't believe what I'm reading... People are seriously saying that closing the park for a whole day would be better and cause less complaints than opening a couple of areas a bit later. They might get a few complaints about the areas, but they will get a darn sight more closing the whole park. It'...

That POV actually makes it look quite fast, unlike the testing videos of the other wing riders. This could turn out to be an amazing ride. And do I see theming, at a six flags park?!?
