Re: Alton Towers: The Lost Back Stories

Debunked Myth: I've heard that Air was supposed to have a backstory which tied in with Nemesis and the contrasting Forbidden Valley. I believe it was along the lines of the MoD/the army decided to bring in their 'secret weapon', which was some sort of gun (or well, weapon among those lines) in orde...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Yeah, I reckon that they will need to finish all of the track and terrain first as the glass floor was meant to be over a main section of track, right? I've never been to sure about that as if it is the washing machine is the SE the drum might have to be covered so the rotating hydroponics can work...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Now now peeps. ;) I've asked before and I'll ask again, can we please keep discussion regarding the trains within the confines of the Ride Speculation topic? Thanks! :) I am trying to its just they keep bringing it up. Is the shop going to have a glass floor to see the track and also when will the ...

Re: Is the Monorail dying?

Been 8 times in the last month, and it seems to be very unreliable. When i was queueing for Nemesis sub terra yesterday there was train just sat there for 20-30 minutes and in the end reversed back towards the Tower Street station. Could not even ride the Monorail to the park yesterday due to a fau...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Right this is a very strange idea and I don't know if this is happening or not but AT should make the smiler complex look really nice but then you get the roar of the coaster so it makes the area seem extra creepy

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Somehow I feel that might be hard to market to the GP... ;) Yeah I agree. Is The Smilers entrance going to be like the original Black Hole's entrance or is it a new design all together cause I've seen recreations of The Smiler and they all seem to use the same kind of entrance that the Black Hole o...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

With such a small foot print of land, they need to use it wisely, I believe after making the islands, they need to let them settle for a few years. It must cost a fortune, Alton have to dig deep expensive holes in the ground for their rides, Thorpe have to move soil to make islands for theirs. Erm ...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Do Gerstlauer make floor less cars already? Because if not that will be another new thing Gerstlauer will have developed. To be honest I'd prefer floored trains purely because of how mad and crazy it will be I would love some thing to put my feet on  I have to agree with what thillmad sa...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Right I love the ideas of the ride but I don't want it to be another crazy saw one were once you get on the main track you lose sense of we're your going, just ruined saw for me I don't want the smiler to be the same :anger:

There is more than ample room to have the 4x4 train in the SE area alone.... there is a whole separate area past that for the transfer track to sit!!!
