Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

There is an events topic on the forum but more event information will be announced closer to the time. I would definitely recommend attending one as you meet so many new people and a great day will be had!

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Jungle Escape sounds fun, if it's as cryptic as Containment then it should be a good addition to the park. GameFx honestly is not something I would be interested in and being at a theme park doesn't seem like the greatest of ideas. With it being kept in the larkside marquee it's not too full on (lik...

Re: Towers Loving Care

It's certainly a shame that the Ripsaw site still isn't used for something genuinely useful. We are just seeing Leisure game stalls being installed to fill the gap. Maybe in the future we may see a new ride there. Speaking of TLC, I do hope even though the updates have stopped we will have seen some...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

That's a very good point. The use of this "infinity" symbol has been seen a lot, from the introduction of the gaming event, to the season pass and now this Jungle teaser. But again saying that, it is part of the Thorpe Park logo itself so it might not be symbolic of anything new coming to ...

Thorpe seem to be dropping a lot of promotional material at the moment with this being tweeted just minutes ago

Re: Merlin General Discussion

I hope this is the start of something positive to come for Merlin. They could really do with the increase of guests and revenue about now, maybe even see the start in bigger budgets for some of the parks.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Honestly, it looks tacky and very unprofessional. I'm really not impressed with Thorpe's pre-season marketing so far, it just doesn't look like they care about this being their 40th year.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Unless Thorpe really do pull something unexpected and superb out of the bag, they have really ruined the chance to do something truly special for their 40th birthday.

Re: Alton Towers Stargazing Pods - Opening April 12th 2019

Seeing the site a few weeks ago, it doesn't look appealing in the slightest. I stuck up for the idea as it would appeal to the market of families who often go camping, I can say from experience that there is a market for this. But having the prices, the pods being installed and seeing it for myself,...

Re: The Future of Spinball Whizzer and Adventure Land

I agree with a lot of the other comments on here, Spinball is certainly destined an exit from the park in the coming years. It's a shame as it's not a bad coaster but with Cbeebies growing year by year, I can see a growing need for more land. I wouldn't mind another kiddie coaster similar to what we...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I believe the boat section will be first, if I'm right it's the first aspect of each of the videos that comes first. It makes sense as well to begin on the boat and journey back in time. I've only done 2 dungeon attractions so far so this will be my 3rd. If the acting team do a great job of capturi...

Re: Chessington - The Future

I never got to experience Hocus Pocus Hall, same as Bubbleworks. But if the attention to detail is as in depth as it is in The Gruffalo, it will certainly make a good attraction. I do agree that I would rather see a new concept as opposed to an IP but if its done well, I can't complain.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

For me, I think The Dungeons aren't exactly something that is needed. With the amount of Dungeon attractions all over the country, I just don't see the point in it being introduced at Towers. Yes, it will be nice to see the history of Alton brought to life in the form of The Dungeons but I would hav...

Re: Colossus

I actually can't stand this ride, being a bigger guy it can be painful and a tough squeeze but even besides that, it's an extremely rough ride for those of other sizes and it just makes riding it uncomfortable. The theme is just a mess in some points, it does look extremely run down compared to it's...

Re: SAW: The Ride

Best ride in the world. Jokes aside, I do really adore this ride. It was the first ride I followed construction for (Th13teen being the main coaster i followed) and I just have a big soft spot for it. It is getting rougher and it can have some really horrible rides on it, but I would much rather tak...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

The Smiler use to be one of my favorite rides at the park, I loved the theme, the atmosphere around the ride and the ride itself. Now, it's dropped so much! Not just due to Wicker Man opening, the ride is becoming rougher and rougher, the station looks so worn out it's unbelievable and just looks li...
