Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I believe the boat section will be first, if I'm right it's the first aspect of each of the videos that comes first. It makes sense as well to begin on the boat and journey back in time. I've only done 2 dungeon attractions so far so this will be my 3rd. If the acting team do a great job of capturi...

Re: Chessington - The Future

I never got to experience Hocus Pocus Hall, same as Bubbleworks. But if the attention to detail is as in depth as it is in The Gruffalo, it will certainly make a good attraction. I do agree that I would rather see a new concept as opposed to an IP but if its done well, I can't complain.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

For me, I think The Dungeons aren't exactly something that is needed. With the amount of Dungeon attractions all over the country, I just don't see the point in it being introduced at Towers. Yes, it will be nice to see the history of Alton brought to life in the form of The Dungeons but I would hav...

Re: Colossus

I actually can't stand this ride, being a bigger guy it can be painful and a tough squeeze but even besides that, it's an extremely rough ride for those of other sizes and it just makes riding it uncomfortable. The theme is just a mess in some points, it does look extremely run down compared to it's...

Re: SAW: The Ride

Best ride in the world. Jokes aside, I do really adore this ride. It was the first ride I followed construction for (Th13teen being the main coaster i followed) and I just have a big soft spot for it. It is getting rougher and it can have some really horrible rides on it, but I would much rather tak...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

The Smiler use to be one of my favorite rides at the park, I loved the theme, the atmosphere around the ride and the ride itself. Now, it's dropped so much! Not just due to Wicker Man opening, the ride is becoming rougher and rougher, the station looks so worn out it's unbelievable and just looks li...

Re: Traveling in your own

Hi there and welcome to the forum! I did a few solo trips during the 2017 season and to be honest, they were great fun! Back then you did have the single rider queues which aren't in place at the moment but even if you do go on your own on quieter days then it can be a great day. I did find them wei...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

This ride just gets more fun each year somehow. It's honestly such a fun and enjoyable experience. Even though the secret is no longer that impacting or surprising, I still see new people riding and getting shocked at it. The new baggage system has slown things down but doesn't affect the ride too m...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

So it's been a year since Wicker Man was officially revealed to the public.

How do you feel the ride has performed being a year on and do you think its been the right decision by the park?

Re: Rita - General Discussion

Similar to Dan, I often don't mind missing out on this ride due to it being unwhelming compared to the other rides/ having a big queue. It's an OK experience if it's your first time but it can be a rough ride if you time it wrong. It just doesn't have that same impact on me anymore when there are ri...

Re: I'm a Celebrity! Get Me Out Of Here

Honestly not really surprised by this. After trying it last season after only doing it once in its first season, its gone massively down hill. The actors never really cared inside and just felt broken. I do hope we see a new attraction inside or even a permanent maze being implimented in it's buildi...

For the first time ever I might get to make one of these meet-ups. Looking at the summer festival.
What do I need to do to register?

All you need to do is purchase a ticket to one of the events when they go on sale!
TT Festival was great last year and I'm sure this year will be equally as good!

Re: Oblivion - General Discussion

This might be the season I rode it the least amount of times so far. Don't get me wrong I love the ride and the feeling when being dropped. But the only problem is the throughput, you're constantly stuck on the brake run waiting for the trains ahead to dispatch. You spend more time on the brake run ...

By the sounds of it, Wicker Winter will be a series of YouTube videos going into detail the behind the scenes of the ride.
