Re: Walt Disney World General Discussion

Disney are happy to just keep cramming people in it seems.  Ultimately their goal seems to be "making the park cope better with more people" rather than "stop everywhere being packed year round". Even designing all their rides for maximum capacity, it's not going to stop insane c...

Re: Camelot

Unfortunately it's probably not good news.  I did manage to find a pic taken by some 'urban explorers'  when the park first got into trouble. It's been 10 years since it was taken, It's likely in a state beyond repairing if it was still in that location because of rust and vandalism. If you can make...

Re: Walt Disney World - Epcot

Glad the Mary Poppins ride isn't just a carousel and Spaceship Earth is just getting a makeover rather than being stripped out.

Also glad Journey into Imagination isn't being changed to an Inside out ride (still wish they'd try and restore or revamp it though).

That's fairly neat, hope that comes to Disney Land Paris too.

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Why do Disney like putting bugbots in their attractions... Seems the Doctor Strange attraction is just a character Meet and Greet based on what they said. Seems like all it's getting in terms of rides is Spider-man and the Rock and Rollercoaster retheme. No new news on the big expansion which I'm gu...

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I still have to question why there's a large vertical drop drop at all. Unless it's so tame you barely feel it (in which case why add the complexity when drops can be simulated and elevators can be so seamless you don't even realize you've been in one like in Transformers).  A lot of people at Disne...

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

The ride is massively ambitious but there's just so much to go wrong with it. I've heard dubious rumours about the delays being caused by them having issues with the cars bumping into each other and magnetic track lines being laid wrong requiring floors to be ripped up and that they're scrapping som...

Ouch, hope that guy's cv is up to date. Disney do not mess around when it comes to leaks

Re: Disneyland Resort

With the recent spiderman announcement, things could get weird with the spiderman ride. It was rumoured spiderman was going to be one of the primary characters for the next mcu phase

Re: Walt Disney World - Epcot

Fingers crossed for a journey into the imagination refresh (without ips). One of the mysteries is Brazil, wonder if the other is for the carousel or if there was truth about the changes to The land.

Hopefully some info on the spaceship earth refit too

Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land Replacement

Will be interesting to see if they close the Driving school as well. Closing that and moving the carousel and froghopper around would give a significant amount of space for an attraction. That said, 8-10 months probably isn't enough to tear down the building then build a major ride from scratch (and...

Re: Universal's Epic Universe

Reminds me massively of Steeplechase, both in terms of track and the mild acceleration. Given that ride relies on how vulnerable you feel for thrills, its probably going to be a fairly tame coaster that competes with big thunder mountain.

Re: Universal's Epic Universe

Looking closely at the park image they seem to have gone to great trouble to remove identifiable themeing. Super Mario Land is only obvious because the layout is known, the rest are more a process of elimination. Thoughts: ⋅  The duelling coaster appears to be single launch and given by th...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

I can see them trying to isolate the worlds but having turnstyles for each section seems like it'd be a poor decision.  It discourages crowds from spreading around the park evenly. Families where some want kids rides, some want white knuckle are less likely to split up so you'll get more boring wait...

Re: Kankaria Adventure Park

All those people climbing over the ride, pulling on people, ripping off restraints, I dread to think how many injuries they made worse... Hard to imagine this not being a maintenance issue, that sort of catastrophic failure should not be possible in normal conditions in a regularly inspected ride. T...

'leaked' models showing off the new Nintendo land. Not impossible these are faked but someone put a huge amount of work into them. https://orlandoparkstop.com/news/ru mors/leaked-model-photos-show-off-s uper-nintendo-world-for-universal-p arks/ It looks absolutely incredible. Re: Paultons Park

Defintely got to get down to Paultons at some point. They've an impressive range of family coasters now and it's genuinely a day out for the whole family rather than a handle of rides to stop older family members getting too bored whilst younger kids are taken around Peppa Pig world. Wonder what dir...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

One of the things I've always liked about the proposed designs is the enclosed section.  One of the best things about the (otherwise pretty bad) Disney Studios Paris layout is the indoors entrance section. If they do something at immersive and atmospheric as that, but on a bigger scale, it'll be gre...
