Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

Whilst the flyer looks a good coaster it's totally ruined the look of the area in Japan, I'd rather not have it in Orlando. The rumoured expansion in Orlando was a mine train coaster themed around Amber mine but the insiders on OU seem to think that the mine train coaster will probably end up in the...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

Comcast have tonight announced their result which make for impressive reading. Theme parks saw a 38.6% rise in revenue to $1.0 billion, thanks to the inclusion of Universal Studios Japan, which was acquired in full by Comcast in November, and the success of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter attrac...

Coaster Force have posted some pictures of the launch coaster and the braking part of the ride looks interesting.... http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/31/b5c8afed6d81d546bcc723ba4ee7ec73.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/31/78fab384ab0aee247aef885e088a5782.jpg

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

There's been a first shot of the inside of King Kong as someone left the door open, the set's look like they are going to be rather impressive based on the size of skull by the door! Credit to Orlando United for the picture. http://forums.orlandounited.com/attachments/img_4340-jpg.1349/

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

There are rumours that they've had to reinforce the track as the new trains will be heavier due to the on board audio and possibly lights.

From what's been said on Orlando United it seems like there is going to be a new storyline which is why they've ripped the queue out as well.

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

Awhen from Orlando United has provided a photo update from Kong which has probably given the best view in terms of the scale of the attraction. The photos have been taken from pteranodon flyer which gives a nice view over the construction site. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1550/23675436154_e3a71e8...

They were two totally different experiences though so it would be a bit unfair to compare them. One was a scare zone, the other was a maze.

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

There is a lot of information on Orlando United about it. It's a trackless dark ride which features both screens and AA. The finale will be rather spectacular as there will be a giant AA King Kong which will interact with the ride vehicle.

If it's as good as the insiders expect then it's going to be one of the better dark rides in the world!

There is no point in relocating a ride at the end of it's life, it wont be moving to X Sector.

Re: Volcano Bay - Universal Orlando Resort - 2017

Rumor has it they are trying to acquire a 474 acre plot of land as seen in this In The Loop video which I'm guessing could be the Volcano Bay water park and is the reason why they were heavily against SkyPlex as they are so close?! http://www.insidethemagic.net/2015/12/universal-orlando-resort-repo...
