Wait did you just say the swarm isn't intense!

It's not.

Call me blunt, but what are you on about? Alongside Montu, Nemesis is one of the best sounding coasters on the planet.

Okay, even if the rest of this thing sucks, at least that drop looks awesome. <3

Shame about the lack of Katun-esque profile though... ):

Re: Funny Things You've Overheard at Parks

I hate it when people say that Rita goes 100mph... it does my head in. Hear it quite often. I remember this chav at Thorpe Park saying something along the lines of, "Colossus goes 85mph so it goes faster than Stealth." Hahaha I burst into a short laugh and he was looking at me like *you w...

Re: Which style of coaster loop do you like best?

Wait, are you asking us for our favourite inversion, or for our preferred vertical loop profiling - in which case there are only two real options to choose from? Assuming you meant the latter, I do have a soft spot for the spherical loops of Schwarzkopf/Pinfari old. The high positive forces sustaine...

Re: Polar X Plorer Legoland Denmark

Polar X-Plorer should be treated as nothing more than a rollerskater with a neat party trick. To put it into perspective, that thing targets the same audience at Legoland Billund as the Dragon Coaster does at Windsor. Thirteen and Verbolten, on the other hand, both set out to satisfy the family thri...

Re: Nemesis or nemesis inferno

So that's how you judge a coaster? If it's 'forceful'? I don't mind as that's your opinion just find that strange that that's how you determine if a ride is good or rubbish When a ride is designed to be just that, yes... It's pointless to judge a ride on characteristics that it was clearly never in...

Re: Best Merlin launch coaster

^^ For the record, Desert Race is a slightly re-profiled Rita clone. The shaping of Desert Race's initial three airtime hills in particular I found was notably superior to Rita's - with the crest of the hill being relatively inline, before rotating riders around their heartline in 0g, eliminating th...

Re: Best Merlin launch coaster

Stealth is one of those rides that you'll never pull me away from when it has little or no queue (or without the promise of something better around the corner - something Thorpe is in short supply of), but that I would never wait more than 5 minutes for. Rita: turd. Desert Race: marginally better th...

I'm surprised that nobody seems to have picked up yet on the fact that it's quite clearly Pacific Park's Santa Monica West Coaster: http://cache.rcdb.com/nkcjb79sqohtog3ck002ma.jpg http://www.coastergallery.com/2007/SantaMonica02.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQI-_IFUDDU :P

If we're talking outside of the rides themselves, unrestricted access to the Towers archives is my idea of heaven. <3

Re: Attraction you'd most like a behind the scenes tour of?

As a self-proclaimed engineering geek, I'd obviously love to have a good look at Thirteen's drop section. That or a look at any of the coasters' ride control systems... I've wanted to get my hands on one of those for years. :P

Duel also appeals to me from a lighting/wiring/set design perspective.
