Re: Can Oakwood afford another coaster?

The Runaway Minetrain from American Adventure would be a great addition coupled with the return of 'Jakestown'. Think of the awesome theming that this could bring. The coaster having a ' dark section' through the 'mine' etc.  Jakes Goldmine and Musichall was always the highlight of Oakwood, Ne...

What if the ride would go up the tower like normal and only drop the riders when at the top and it goes inverted, would it still be deadly?

Yes.

Re: Thorpe Park Next Coaster

I am sure, 100% sure in fact, that the amount of comments are from the uneducated people. And regardless, what percentage of the general target audience for Thorpe made such a comment. I would image we are tlaking about 0.00001% of poeple. It doesn't matter if they're uneducated or not, they're sti...

I guess you mean the tunnel of wee? Rather than writing out a long post myself, I'm just going to direct you to this old topic. :)

Re: New Ride Idea: Inverted Drop Tower

The launch and brakes would kill riders instantly. The positive forces that would usually push down on our bodies during acceleration/deceleration are essentially inverted, inevitably resulting in a fatal blood-rush to the head.

Re: Hold on Tight! Here We Go, Here We Go!

That depends entirely on the nature of the ride and (in some cases) my own desire for self-preservation. :P

For example:

SLCs - hold on for dear life (or rather, for the sake of keeping my skull intact).

B&M Hypers - totally hands-free for floaty awesomeness.

B&M stand ups seemed to have gone out of fashion so I doubt we will see one of them

Regardless of the fact that one was terrifyingly close to becoming SW7? ;)

Re: Helix - Liseberg Opening in 2014

It's not been overlooked by anyone other than you. :P

Liseberg is one of my absolute favourite European parks, and Helix looks stunning. Certainly my most anticipated new coaster of 2014. :)

Re: Fun city brean

It all depends on how you choose define it, but Fun City is technically my home park (just a 15 minute hop down the M5 away). I do respect the place, largely for the way they operate and maintain their machines; particularly the afterburner - it looks and rides great! Probably second only to Manning...

Re: Quick Questions

The ride hosts aren't exactly going to force your family to ride... Although I do suggest it would still be best for them to wait outside. It's only the SRQ, after all. :)

Re: Single Rider Queues

Just a tip. Nemesis' SRQ is great for getting those all-important back row rides, now every train seems to have its back row loaded from the PP queue... (Which rarely seems to contain even groups :P )
