And we've finished! Team 1 won by an extremely small margin. Our grand total will be announced in the next week and photos from the fundraiser will be up asap! :) The participants managed to go on Air, then run across the valley to Rita, then to Oblivion, Enterprise and back to Th13teen. They then c...

Re: How to not be scared of launched coaster?

My thought on a situation like this if it were me would be YOLO! I don't think I could help you with advice because when it comes to it, it's your decision. But I'd say even if you were kicking and screaning to just go for it! Even if you close your eyes :) What's the worst that can happen? Its a sa...

Re: SW8

I don't think they would build SW8 so near to SW7 and also, it is such a small site. With the planning application for SW8 I think it should see the light of day very early 2015/16 in order for them to gain permission to build ready for the season in which SW8 is opening.

Re: [email protected] Discussion - Who's Coming & Paid

The first buses run to Hanley (stoke) Bus station, or you can get to Uttoxeter on one to catch the train to Stoke Station. The bus runs at ever 21 minutes past the hour until 23:21 and trains to Stoke from Uttoxter are about every half an hour at 08 past and 40something past every hour :)

Re: Quick Questions

I tweeted them the other week on twitter where they said at least 1 member of the group is over 18... I can't comment on you two staying when you were 16 because the hotel has no policy on it.

Re: SW8

They could, as long as it wasn't over the valley... They could do almost a small zero-g/barrel roll from a launch into the valley whilst staying under the tree line, however I think it would be extremely uncomfortable to do. If they ever build a wing rider going into the valley, I think they would s...

Re: Funny Things You've Overheard at Parks

Walking out of the exit of Forbidden Valley at Feb half term, girl who was obviously in a hurry to get to FV runs up and asks "Is the Smiler over here?". When we told her that it wasn't and it was closed a small "oh" was heard where she then quickly scuttled along. Another story ...

Re: General Thorpe Park Discussion

Extending steel coasters is always an extremely costly process for a park and in the end, might not become cost effective. New track, footers, supports etc would be needed. With that in mind, I instead would love that money to get a new coaster or development elsewhere in the park that will pull mor...

2004 and 2009 were my favourite years... They just seemed special on those visits and more enjoyable! Although to be far, 2013 was a blummin awesome year, thank you very much TowersTimes Events! :)
