Re: If You could bring back one past ride?

I'd have to say Swan Boats! Very peaceful and dry as opposed to Battle Galleons!

Re: Sponsor A Scream

I may be able to blab my way to this! :D We don't suggest anyone truant school for this. It isn't in the nature of the charity work, and has some potentially very serious implications for both you and your guardians. I fully support what Lee has said. So don't skip school! There might be other oppo...

Re: Sponsor A Scream

I do apologise for the event being held on a normal school day, however, this means that we can move around quicker whilst hopefully not disturbing others days out. Another thing to add to my first post, for the rides you do go to, you will be given the fastracks you need to get you all through as q...

Sponsor A Scream

Hi Guys! As some of you may know already, last year we organised a charity event in aid of Merlin's Magic Wand and Clatterbridge Cancer Charity which proved to be a success where we raised £277 for those two charities. Although the Oblivion challenge was fun, there is a lot more in store for 2014 wh...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

The Merlin Membership is still up for sale, yes. It has its own site ( http://www.merlinmembership.co.uk ) and as you guessed it, has the same perks as the usual new MAPs. However, they are not in the annual pass sale, which is sensible otherwise they would have customers paying rock bottom prices f...

Why would they store a ride car on a lorry like that though?!  Surely they would store them in the mech bay or station if they weren't being worked on?

They will have taken them to the main maintenance shed for the trains to have a good service/strip down ready for another year (I think?)

Re: TT Facebook Countdown

I understand your frustration however with ride takeovers, we wait our turn like any other person. We have paid to get into the park and so its just the same as waiting behind the same number of any other persons in the queueline.

Re: MI7 Strikes again... First glimpses of CBeebies Land

Thank you MI7! You never cease to fail us and the enthusiasts needs! Looks like there is a lot of focus on the smiler (even more £££ on the already £18m!). Rita, possibly replacing the launch cable? Nemesis, most likely repairing stress cracks as those places on the track are some which get the most...

Re: TT Facebook Countdown

In my opinion it will either have something to do with a) Something on opening day or b) an eye in the sky ;)

Re: CBeebies Land 2014 - General Discussion

Judging by the concept art this looks like it could be a rethemed dungheap or at least part of the Dungheap. The Eiffel tower climbing frame and zip wire are already installed in the dunghead so it would be cheaper to keep them.

Re: SW8

If they went for a hybrid they would most definitely get refused planning permission for an orange steel track however if they went for a track design like outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City I think it would suit the park perfectly!

Re: Quick Questions

It is exactly that, they're themed! You get the same facilities as a normal room however depending on the themed room you choose there may be a special bonus in that room. For example, in the celebration room you get a machine which gives you unlimited Coca Cola and in the Sonic the Hedgehog room yo...

Re: Thorpe Park: 2014 and beyond

That is a very good way to create a hotel for Thorpe! They haven't much land to build upon so I think a hotel ship in the lake will be a very good idea! However, I don't see it being as big as the Waterfront Hotel and I can't see it fitting in with its surroundings either.

Re: CBeebies Land 2014 - General Discussion

Each cycle of the Berry Bish Bash was ten minutes so iff you put two and two together I think we may have the answer! However it makes me wonder what the objective will be? maybe a big compost heap bin in the centre where you have to get the tomatoes (soft foam balls) into it.

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

I went in the Easter holidays last year on a Saturday and have to say I didn't do much queuing. However, the fact that The Smiler was not open may have lowered the number of people visiting.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

They will be able to, yes! The family passes only mean you pay alltogether I think. Me, my sister and my dad are on a family premium pass together and on numerous occasions I have gone to attractions with others and not them.

Re: Funny Things You've Overheard at Parks

Dont forget, they are only some of Alton Towers' 50+ attractions! I haven't really witnessed any idiocy in the queue lines yet... However at scarefest Benji and I were dressed as clowns. The Ripsaw operator decided to throw a bad gag out of the op cabin "can someone tell those guys in the middl...
