Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I guess they are going to repaint wherever they took off any paint? The join was obviously going to cause a problem with smoothness but at least they've sorted it now, attention to detail is good! 8)

Re: what type of major flat would you like to see next?

I'd love to see a Vekoma Pandora's Box. As far as i'm aware they haven't installed one yet and they look like they have great potential for an immensive dark ride  :D http://www.vekoma.com/index.php/specialities-and-attractions/pandora-s-box Looks like a great design! A promotional video of it...

Re: what type of major flat would you like to see next?

A Dark 4-D simulator would be a great addition to Hex :) but obviously it would cost loads and ruin what is already a good attraction. Still i think the Hex storyline would work well and create an immersive and different experience 8)

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The theming inside the tunnel leading up to the first lift hill looks promising, maybe evidence of a small pre-show in that area! 8) Was said in a news article that the ride would have some form of pre-show...... I would link you.... but finding that post would be like finding an TTF member who lik...

Re: The Smiler - Marketing [May Contain Spoilers]

So do we have any clues on when the first tv ad will come on? I think we may see the first blip adverts coming out this week :) as soon as the big media event has happened releasing the full details of the ride I think it will be time for adverts. The Th13teen adverts contained the secret drop elem...

Make sure you cut it into 14 slices - one for each inversion!  ;)

Electrics box for restraints and such :)

That's what I thought, but I thought I'd ask anyway 8) those yellow cages still look a bit mysterious, but I think they must just be for theming purposes :)

Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

Hello everyone  :D

I'm James, I've been a member for a while but just started posting. Big fan of AT for a while now!! My first memories of AT are of the brilliant but long gone black hole :) but now I'm looking forward to its replacement, The Smiler  8)

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Does anyone think we'll see the yellow graffiti in the concrete pit, as seen in the game?I think it'd be a great addition as it will make the the coaster look more controlling and menacing  8)

Re: The future of Nemesis.....

I think in a few years time we will see a paint and refurbish job, much like oblivion has just gone through. A new coat of paint and maybe a refurbishment to the station as well as new theming will keep Nemesis going for many more years yet. If the corkscrew can last for 30 years then I'm pretty sur...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I think the current X-Sector rides (oblivion, enterprise and submission) will have a role to play in the storyline of The Smiler. Judging by the videos I think the previous rides are all part of a secret marmalisation process and The Smiler is the final piece to turn the patients into advocates. Th...

Re: The Smiler - Marketing [May Contain Spoilers]

Hi everyone, first post here  :D With regards to the 'world first' element, I think the 14 looping aspect has been chosen as it is the most marketable. There may be other world firsts such as the 3D projection mapping as the game still states there are some secrets to be reveiled, but I think '...
