Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

That's the problem. Facebook is blocked. I can't unblock it, I can't explain why, its a long and confusing story. What do the pictures show?

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I can't see anything. I just see a white box with a red cross.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I would like to just add, after looking at a previous post, that a track that tilts downwards from the back to line up with the hill to launch would not work. The track starts too low at the bottom of the hill, so there would be no room for the track to tilt 45 degrees. Also, if you look on the plan...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

That sounds interesting. It could work. Might fit in with the whole theme of The Sanctuary. Also I am quite proud of what I just managed to do. Within 12 hours of one appearing I have, without any starting knowledge, got rid of a virus. Did a full system restore. The thing is known as the 'Windows C...

Re: Ride designer John Wardley to retire

Haha! That's not bad actually! I encountered god myself once. He was just roaming around the park and I went up to speak to him. He mentioned something about planning to retire but had one last surprise for the big enthusiasts. He said that if he was going out, he wanted to do so on a high note. And...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Does anyone else reckon that there's a possibility that since that curve in the drawing above goes through an area marked 'raised platform', the track there may be exposed? Only briefly, but still a possibility.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Well it's possible that what was covered in TTF's pictures wasn't actually a secret element and in actual fact some form of giveaway to the ride's name. That'll be proven to be true or false when our next set of shots from MI7 come. To quote Muse: 'I'm waiting patiently.'

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Yes. BUT, bear in mind, we don't get ground level shots from MI7, Not that that's a problem. it looks amazing from the sky! However AT appear to have posted ground level shots of the knot, showing the detail in that way. Also has anyone noticed, when you look through the knot towards Oblivion, is so...

Re: Re: 2014-2019: Possible Developments?

Someone mentioned to me last week there may be plans for something being built in that massive ravine under the skyride. Seems like a good idea to me, as they can have a pretty fast ride going in there, because it's below ground level, so it won't be likely to play around with the park's height rest...
