Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Can't wait for March 16th. Because then they will have a big part of the ride done (if not the complete layout who knows) and we get all the unstoppable pictures from all the fans visiting Oblivion and X-Sector. ;) Getting exited and I want to know how this ride ends up I believe as wicked as the co...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I've been going through the game snap shots but couldn't see the Sea-serpent roll and the 8 figure inversion. While it could be just not visible on the shot I want to point out that if I followed the footers I do see the sea-serpent roll almost on his exact place. This ride really gets to me, as I d...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

That Indeed looks like some sort of inversion at the left. But There is one track connection that I can't fit in anywhere. :?

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

as why else would they need to concrete that whole area? Have you concidered that that area is still part of the building? And thats the reason why the concrete is still up there. I'm not ruling out a launch o no. I hope you launch up to the hill and accelerate on the hill. ;) But that concrete can...

Re: So... about SW8

You guys know Hypers are those high out and back coasters. :? Not good for a park that has a hight limit of trees. I personally hope that SW8 is aether a Wooden coaster or a Europe's first. A Woodie is always good and with Outlaw run new rising of inversions I guess that could be something fo...

They're catching the idea of building a coaster now. :P But I'm surprised to see work on a Sunday that's new for me.

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I just think that the lapbars that are shown on the T2G poster look really unstable in my opinion and I think they would put lots of people off of riding it. They look very unlike the ones on either Iron Shark or Dare Devil Dive and more reminiscent of those on TH13TEEN in my opinion. That's why I'...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Having been on Dare Devil in GA, lapbars maynot be suitable for the intensity of this ride. IMO they are great for freedom, they are comfy and generally pretty awesome, but OTH restrainsts may appeal more to majority of riders for the feeling and psychology of it being safer. That's why they put La...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

When do you think the other images, which might get released later, are of? Possibly theming elements like the 'spider' thing??? As then I could understand why they'd need to check with AT. Hmm, I wonder. :-k https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/c100.0.403.403/p403x403/426055_1015...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

So the things that look like telescopic hydraulics / pistons, are they designed to look like they're able to move - or might they actually move? Don't expect that to happen. If you look at it's design its stuck on the ground and therefor the arms aren't able to move. It's just theming to the arms a...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I really hope on some aerial pictures of the new support. On the other side if they wait a week perhaps we see some more vertical construction standing. So exited to ride it this summer working hard on getting to England for this. ;)
