Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I think these lights will just be for a promo film for the smiler. They may do a few shots with smoke, and extra lighting in order to make it look more dramatic. The fact there is a tent which are most likely news people that are recording it back this up. They would only need the lights for 2 night...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Trains won't run until all checks have been completed on the chains again. I looked on a YouTube video and they built a rollercoaster and they ran it the night before. It worked fine, then they had to go over the whole rollercoaster again the next day and check everything is fine. Nothing had broke...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I would just like to point something out that I dont think has been mentioned yet. This is that on the picture of the completed vertical lift hill, the top, where it goes from vertical to horizontal is a very wide arc. If you look at all eurofighters, they all have a very sharp top to them. If it wa...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Do we think that the vertical lift will be completed today?

No I don't, as someone said before, there are gale force winds on the way to AT. I would expect them to maybe get some track down going up the lift, however they won't do much due to the wind, as it is unsafe to.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Hi, I have been keeping track of the construction since day 1, and I have noticed something about the tickler arm of the Marmaliser. I take it the brushes will brush you when you past, however they would have to restrict people being able to hold their arms up, because if they did, their arm would s...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I'm guessing its the photo building, where you collect the pictures, or video. It could be a themed piece of scenery though

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Going back to the delivery of the lift(s), has anyone got any idea if that is enough chain for both lifts? Or maybe could The Smiler have a launched or maybe a different type of lift. To me, it dosn't seem to have enough, considering that the first lift wont be vertical. Any ideas? And also, Has any...
