Re: TowersTimes Summer Sizzler Event - Discussion

Can I just have clarification of which bank I'm paying into (hopefully before 11.15 as going out to work then and no chance of getting to a bank before Wednesday) as just gone into Natwest as detailed on payment page to be told it isn't one of their accounts. I thought it was nationwide... I copied...

Re: TowersTimes Summer Sizzler Event - Discussion

I've just booked a ticket, but due to an issue with my bank saying the details entered are not correct, (more than likely me not following their transfer instructions correctly) Won't be able to pay until Monday morning.

Re: Are manners and common courtesy going down the drain?

I would say they are. Most of my colleagues refuse to answer one of the phones in our area because "It's the TAP/AP phone" despite the fact it is actually the main phone for our area, it just happens that the TAPs/APs needed a phone and that line was given to them to use along with us. I'v...

It's OK, I'm still holding out for Jean Michel Jarre, or, preferably, Francis Rimbert :P
Unfortunately, Francis is currently married and JMJ is happily single, but a girl can dream.

Re: What car do you own?

Since the KA finally got written off (still waiting for the official offer in writing, but been told by insurers) I now drive a 10-plate Mercedes A-Class. I am in love with my new car, but it's not going to stop me looking at trading it in 4 years down the line for a (hopefully) brand new A-Class. :D

Re: The "I'm Single" Thread

I'm 31 and getting used to the comments about "Isn't it time you found yourself a nice man? Not got long left to have children." Good. I don't want children. I'm happy to wait until I'm 65 for the right person for me to come along. Not going to rush it just because others think I should be...

Re: The "I'm Single" Thread

Never been in a relationship. Well, unless I count the lad I sort of went out with for a couple of months 10 years ago. But we never even kissed, so not sure if that actually counts or not.

Re: Official - The Smiler Opening Meet Thursday 23rd May – Who's going?

Currently looking like Friday is definite for me. Thursday evening may be too early as I have to collect friend from the coach station at 7 PM and then hope her brother is ready to go (actually I think he's already packed and waiting from what I've been told) as we go past. Saturday is dependent on ...

Ticket problem sorted, friend is now bringing her "little" brother who, shall we say, is a teeny bit excited.

Re: The Towers Times Football Discussion 2013

Can I give a congratulations to my team for holding their nerve in the last game and finishing 5th. Great send off for our manager at the end of what has been a bit of an up and down season. Yes, Well done to 1. FC Koln. Disappointed we couldn't quite manage promotion back to the Bundesliga. But the...

Re: Your favourite and worst B&M Inverts thread!

Only been on 2 - Nemesis and Black Mamba. Out of the 2, Black Mamba just edges it for me, simply because I'm never able to walk in a straight line after getting off.

I'm staying at the hotel I used for Crufts in Meriden - Best Western Plus Manor NEC Birmingham. Bit of a way from AT, but the prices are good, rooms big and the food is nice.

Re: Official - The Smiler Opening Meet Thursday 23rd May – Discussion

Wish I could go, wouldn't be able to get the time off, I work in a school, so all our holidays are the half term. Eariest I can get down is for Saturday. But looks like most people are gone then, I would be coming up by myself by the looks of it.  :( I won't be heading home until Saturday. Sin...

Re: To Spoil or not to Spoil. That is the question.

I remember on one of the Jean Michel Jarre forums (can't remember which one, have a feeling it's one of the defunct ones), they had a policy where, if we were talking about concerts early in a tour and giving things away, like the set list at the top of the post you would put "SPOILER ALERT&quo...

Re: Which of the 1994 coasters will be removed first?

Shockwave won't be going anywhere for years and years. Why? Because the ride was only approved by the local council due to a miscalculation on the planning documents; Drayton would never be allowed to build a coaster of those proportions again. Shockwave is still the only stand up coaster in the wo...

Re: The Smiler - Marketing [May Contain Spoilers]

On the old video it says it is in the early 1900s, surely it can't be linked to the new ones? It says at the beginning, and I quote: Unexplained human experiments took place at a facility located near Staffordshire, UK, before it was condemned and closed in the early 1900's, never to reopen. But th...
