Re: What car do you own?

Currently a 05 plate silver Ford KA. However this is currently in a garage in York following an accident which may cause it to be written off.
If this proves to be so, I will be getting a cheap Merc A-class or Fiesta (really not bothered what it is as long as it's cheap and lasts a year or 2)

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

On a very small footprint, we've seen several footers placed wrongly, a roof chopped due to a mis survey and at least three supports placed so out of tolerance that even not being cemented in would help adjust them enough... Lets put that against the B&Ms... air, nemesis, oblivion... Any suppor...

£100 for a bin? Go to the pound shop, get a bin and some acrylic paint. Only cost £10 at most ;)

I'm 21 and have been for the last 10 years, and no one will even persuade me to change that

Re: Top 5 (or 10) Blackpool Pleasure Beach rides

1. Valhalla

2. Avalanche

3. Grand National

4. Derby Racers

5. Big Dipper

Those are the only ones I am ever concerned about going on. Anything else I'm not too bothered about (especially PMBO)

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Some of my photos from today. Quality isn't great as they were taken on my phone and my backup plan of using my SLR lasted until I realised the memory card is at home  http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w220/Isisbabe/20130411_124052_zpsaaf41b7b.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w220/Isisb...

Construction work has once more commenced.

Edit: my twitter app is currently being a pain in the proverbial.  Once I figure out the paste thingy will transfer from photobucket

Any Ice Hockey fans out there?

Bit late in the season, I know (playoffs for EPL are next weekend), but just wondered if there are any fellow fans out there? If so, which team do you support and how's your season been? Currently typing one handed as I nervously clutch my phone awaiting twitter updates from Manchester Phoenix as to...

Re: The Smiler Train Discussion

If I'm honest, no matter what restraints were on the cars, I would still go on the ride, I just never think about that sort of thing, If it holds me in and stops me falling out, I don't have a problem with it. However, I can understand why there are OTSR's, given the way people are getting about Hea...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Just a question about Saw's construction. I thought TP were closed November to March so time between construction ending and ride opening is a bit useless in that case? Anyway, getting back to The Smiler, we only know fairly well what is being done during park opening hours. I remember someone sayin...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I would say the 4d effects would be a good idea, but only if they don't require the use of special glasses as most 3d things do. If that is the case the whole effect would be wasted on someone like me who suffers from a peripheral squint (eyes don't work together. You can see out of one eye or the o...

Re: Your Very First Rollercoaster!

First one I remember going on would be the Grand National at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Would have been about 5 or 6, so 26/27 years ago. I remember pestering to go on it and being too small so I had to wait a year. That was followed the same day by the Big Dipper, Avalanche and then The Roller coast...

I am giving in and going to bed. Hoping it's released either before I start work tomorrow or while I'm on my break. Otherwise I might not be doing much actual work.

Nemesis. It would be The Smiler, but I'm going in March. Even then I wouldn't be able to resist going on an inverted coaster first.

Blackpool Pleasure beach. I've tried getting jobs nearer AT, but no one wants a manic hyperactive thing near them. And then there's the slight issue of me owning a border collie...

Re: The "I feel happy" Topic

In less than four weeks, I will be on holiday! First stop Crufts for a couple of days to get collie, spaniel, kooikerhondje, setter and weimeraner hand snogs and doggie goodies and then off to Paris for 4 nights. And the best bit is my Dad's paying *hopefully, he hasn't said no so fingers crossed* f...

Re: Has anyone ever attempted to write a novel?

I write quite a bit. I currently have one near completed first draft, the first 52,000 words of which were written in November, that I'm taking a break from before plunging back in to finish and start editing. To pick up on what others have said about getting to know your characters first, some peop...
