I reckon this coaster will be 95% complete by the 16th of April, and will definitely be open for the first week in may holiday.

The theming and the buildings are quite a large part of the coaster. Maybe most of the track will be up by 16th April, but the theming and stuff will take longer.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

^Same. When AT anounced a Gersty would be making it, I wasn't best pleased. This, however, I wasn't expecting. This may be AT's most anticipated coaster since Oblivion, perhaps. The hype on this coast is unreal, I think everyone is glad this has come out, and I can't wait to ride it in July. SOMEON...

I am glad it doesn't go 1,000,000,000 mph (1 Billion mph), because that would kill you.

I think we will have a full circuit rollercoaster by the weekend! I really hope we do anyway!

So by the weekend you expect 2 inverted drops, 1 dive loop, 2 lift hills and a bunny hop. I don't think so to be honest...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I dont really see AT combining 2 coasters at the smiler site but it could on less (cramped) rides. I don't think we will see AT combining 2 coasters anyway. If they want to make it effective, and some what cool, they would have to build both coasters at the same. They won't combine the smiler with ...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

That I did not see. So at least we (I mainly mean myself, because I bet you guys have already noticed) know that the timelaspe 'speculation' is true. I am glad to hear it, cannot wait to watch the build from two angles.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Seeing as there are going to be 4 trains on the track at any one time is it not possible the sensors are just to detect when a train passes over them to ensure all trains maintain a safe distance (by being dispatched appropriately)? How do you know there is going to be 4 cars on the track at the sa...

Re: 2014-2019: Possible Developments?

Nemesis will stay, no matter what. But I don't think there will be a new 'large ride' or 'coaster' in 2016. If you look back, the dates kind of show a pattern... Nemesis - 1994 Oblivion - 1998 - 4 years later Air - 2002 - 4 years later Rita - 2005 - 3 years later Thirteen - 2010 - 5 years later The ...
