Re: Motion Coaster Idea

So essentially this is a coaster with a simulator section? I've had some very brief thoughts about this kind of thing but worry how you would isolate the car.. and exit from the section without a a big track section curving off to one side infront of you - but what you have here is a pretty good sol...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Well we all wanted to know what it looked like with the lights on http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/8273/imagebcu.jpg Thats awesome. Reminds me a Nemesis for some reason - I think its an illustrated image I'm thinking of. Obviously the yolks/lights are not a permenant feature unless they start openi...

So this "Miles Cedars" character..........

It's clearly "Smile Scared" - adding to the apparent horror of smiling.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Ok a few things: First I think I forgot to say how awesome the LED ring-screen look. The black looks really good and text looks quite distinguised. With what Andzdrew was saying: He was getting bit blasted for concern about the supports but I think his concern is justified from the point of safety. ...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The mist/fog coming out of the spider leg looks majestic.
I guess all the screens and everything are waterproofed, including against the UK weather.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

No, I meant the box things that look kind of like those big 12v batteries but I think you are right, they seem to look more like plug socket box things with the cables coming out. Aslong as the solar panels are outside (i.e. not behind a glass window for instance) and point somewhat upwards they sho...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

ah SOUND FX is a very underated subject of discussion. Think about the bass boom when the Air seats are turned downwards - it's very dramatic. There are all sorts of mind bending sounds you can create with a synthesizer/sampler. To see what I mean just listen to these sounds: http://www.soundsnap.co...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Ok so in the other thread a guy talked about cloaking the track with this invisibility system. I really appreciate what he said about how he's speaking conceptualy (whats called "blue sky" sometimes). I also do that - I believe in it because, if all you are doing is try to do is derive som...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Lest anyone panic I must say, these kind of teething problems are very routine! thats probably just a cable not plugged in or something. You know what its like when you get a new monitor. These new pictures are cool because I had no idea those were screens. I thought that was just backing for someth...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I like the way the toilet looks right now. Infact I think the whole idea of having a coaster go over a toilet is beautiful. I just like the juxtorposition of that. You can take a poo with a cutting edge roller coaster going above your head. You can't do that home. :D

Glad this ride has humor in it.
