Re: An Alton Towers Wedding

I'd have my wedding in the closed season so no members of the public are watching, I like my privacy! I'd have the my wedding ceremony the in centre of the castle, followed by a horse and carriage ride through the gardens, down woodland walk and in to the Alton Towers Hotel gardens for cocktails et...

Re: The Future Of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Rid

The only good thing about CATCF is riding it with other TT members :lol Apart from that it is downright awful and not worthy of a Roald Dahl trademark. I would like to wholeheartedly disagree - you all try and kill me!! [-( It's a shame how poorly executed Charlie has been. I'm hoping they fail to ...

Re: Oblivion: The Black Hole - Gardaland - Opening 2015

With the obvious comparisons aside, it's a very well executed initial marketing campaign. Fantastic colours, logos and TV slot.

It's enough to get me to head over there to ride it so in that respect, job accomplished.

You may need to be a little more specific than that. A screenshot would be extremely helpful :)

Re: General Forum Discussion

I don't know why this is happening, if it is happening to anyone else and if this is meant to happen, but every time I open the forum after having the tab shut, etc. an advertisement for an app called "Tapatalk" appears. Does anyone know why this is or is it happening to anyone else? As A...

Only the lodge installation is currently underway, themeing etc hasn't been placed, so of course it won't look very fairly take like yet.

Re: SW8

This isn't a discussion over who was right, who heard first, or who has more credibility - it's a discussion about SW8.

Please drop that attitude guys, or you'll see the wrong end of my New Years Resolutions :)

Re: Alton Towers Memorabilia - Old Maps, Collectibles etc.

Once my pass ends in June I wouldn't mind letting go my VIP package contents. The box contains the booklet, exclusive vip lanyard, 2 golden tickets (shiny!, but useless), welcome letter in fancy envelope & pin badge. Only thing I would ask is for the shipping cost to be covered via bank transfe...

Re: Alton Towers 2015 February Half Term Event

Was Oblivion always on the FHT lineup? It didn't really seem to have many issues this year, so I can only assume its closure is related to X-Sector/The Smiler. Unless of course they're wanting to have another look at the chain? Prices this year have shot up too at £17.25 for an adult online 2 days o...

Re: Planning on a trip to AT from Ireland

As someone who used to live in North Wales, it's slightly easier than you'd imagine via public transport. - Virgin trains or arriva trains from Holyhead to Crewe - Local train from Crewe to Uttoxeter - 32A Bus direct from station to Alton Towers (30 mins tops) The week you plan on going will be quit...

I think even Woodcutters was open last year, but I could be mistaken. I think the courtyard tavern will be open too.

Re: Feb Half Term 2015

At the risk of sounding blunt, all the perks and tier levels are advertised before you purchase it. If you're unhappy afterwards about what benefits you feel are included, that's really only your own fault. If you have such an issue with Merlin, don't visit their parks and generate more income for t...

Re: Feb Half Term 2015

They could rework the perks like all the other parks in the world. Have it so they always get in but are disadvantaged in other areas such as 10% instead of 20%. Or have exclusive ride nights for the premium holders. I'm sure that would sell a lot more premium passes if every now and then Thorpe op...

Re: Feb Half Term 2015

This is a special event though as they're open outside their usual opening times because they're hosting an event - it's pretty self explanatory really. Thorpe do seem to have a policy now of charging standard pass holders a small up-charge for events. As long as it's consistently operated, then I s...

Re: Alton Towers 2015 February Half Term Event

Quite possibly Pizza & Pasta too, with random small food outlets available. Alton Towers want to begin to grow closed season events, so I can see them attempting to have a decent F&B offering this year as it's gotten progressively better each year. As Dan says, I really can't see The Smiler ...

Re: Alton Towers 2015 February Half Term Event

Nemmies track does need a spruce up. I agree that the actual theming of the main supports is fantastic and fits the theme splendidly, however the wheel marks do not; 21 years is a long time without a general spruce up. The station is in serious need of an overhaul, both externally and internally. Th...

I'm not impressed with the implementation of the site at all, it's very very messy. It's a shame really, as they seem to have the right idea for once.
