Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I really hope they do it tomorrow and put on a big spectacle about it. It seems with many recent coaster constructions, they tend to lower the final track piece into place with the flags of each country involved in the project, so I think that might happen here. I'm actually quite sad that track co...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

So the knifes that are shown on the map are not going to be used? To be honest i think they would of looked cooler and scarier spinning round than big circles aha ;) . I also don't see what effect they will have on you where as the other do... as i said before i'm not too disappointed with them just...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

To be honest while I'm not too disappointed with the hypnotiser I think they do look tacky and I don't see what effect / distraction they can do to the riders. I wonder why knifes were shown on the Map? I do think they would of fitted in with the x sector theming better and scared the riders more. T...

Re: X Sector Refurbishment

Talking about the park map. I am pretty disappointed with how small they have made Oblivion look, on all the maps it be made to look huge and scary now it's quote small hidden and faceing the wrong way aha ;-)

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

As we said this is a new gen gurest sadly we haven't seen anything mind blowing yet but time will tell. Are the duelling drops, vertical lift and 14 inversions not enough for you? I did not mean the ride its self  the ride is AMAZING aha I meant that when this was stated as a guests #2 ...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The chain takes the train up, if there is a problem then the train is rolled back using the fins to slow them down to a crawl like speed to which the pinch brakes at the bottom hold them in place so the train can be evacuated safely. Could all be down to the noise abatement order as to why they hav...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Just to add on note of the fins on 1st hill... They look surprisingly once again like a set of pinch breaks for the bottom section! Why the hell are they doing this My thought exactly aha ;-) in a way this proves its not a back drop system it's ether we have a new form of lifts here. Or gurest have...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

As above said yes they may be heavy trains but never have they been done it this sort of situation before, a vertical lift! A very steep first lift and not that it matters but 14 inventions aha ;-) The roll back just is not happening I'm my opinion aha as 1,the brakes would result in a slow un thril...

Re: 16th March - New Beginnings meet - reviews

Hi, just a quick question about meet up's :D Do we have to tell or confirm it here first or do we literally just go and 'meet up'? And do many younger people go ie, 16 age haha as not that I would not have a great time but it may be a bit awkward with the age gap ;-) I hope to come soon as my 'Frien...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Did anyone ride Space Invader at BPB in the 90's? It used to stop to abruptly that you went flying out of the car if you wasn't ready for it  (shout out to Old School Coaster Riders lol).  The wild mouse almost as bad. But back to The Smiler...... I really like the idea of backwar...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

If people are now saying that the fins are to stop whiplash a d the first lift hill also has them! We must be coming out of there very quickly! SE maybe? EDIT: or is it just that the chain moves fast? ( by the way does may signature work? Or should I delete it? Took me ages to perfect aha ;-) ) Yes...
