Re: TT Spring Spectacular 2019 - Reviews & Feedback

I'm glad that everyone seemed to enjoy the event. It was a great day and possibly one of my favourite events! I'm also happy to see we had some new attendees too and pleased that you have all managed to come away smiling. That is a sign of a good event! Hopefully we will see you all again very soon!

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I actually think it is a good thing that it remains unmarked. It allows for genuine use of the system.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I'd very much doubt that a school would be going back today. Schools either broke up on Friday 5th or a week later. Some schools around Alton broke up on the Thursday just gone. Operations on the whole were good. Th13teen was in particular, along with Galactica which was pushing them through! Oblivi...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

The coaster is completely different to others as it has sudden drops, so the forces will be different, something which I think people forget sometimes. It’s not the drops or the forces, it’s the way the car bounces along the track like a runaway shopping trolley with a wheel missing. Now that is Bl...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Saw is horrible, avoid at all costs. It’s very well themed but it’s also up there with the roughest coaster I’ve ever ridden. I think Saw has become a bit of a scapegoat for claims of being rough. The coaster is completely different to others as it has sudden drops, so the forces will be different,...

Re: Galactica - General Discussion

Air was the first coaster I properly fell in love with although controversial I do prefer the Galactica branding. I just hope they put a few more pieces of theming around the ride area and paint the tunnel.

Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

I think it is important to just collect the ones you like, otherwise it becomes a very demanding and expensive hobby.

I do go for special pins though, such as the Power of the Towers, as they will be rare!

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

It is worth doing if you've not been on it before, but if you have then I'd say focus on the coasters!

Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

Quite possibly. It certainly has that feel, especially when the 'STRONG' pins were mounted on a card. I've always had the feeling the the RCR pins should have been for staff at some point too! I'm not sure what to make about the Power merchandise. Apart from the pin, I don't think I'll be buying any...

Re: Alton Towers Stargazing Pods - Opening April 12th 2019

I very much doubt everything is in place yet.
I do agree about the colours though. They dont match in, but could this be because we have seen what it has been used for in the past, with the Enchanted Village?

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

It has lost its charm for me. I can easily miss it out now when I visit, but I will give it a go on my first visit this season. Hopefully, it will be tweaked as they settle in!

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

If Spinball's SRQ is added then not only does it need to be communicated with the rides team but also the public. I can see it getting confusing for guests otherwise :/

Overall, it is a good call to bring it back, especially on rides which can accommodate for 4 per train/row. :D

The Rattlesnake which left the park in 2016 has had a major make-over and has been brought back to life as the Egg-Spress....
