Anyone know who the manufacturer is?

Apparently a company called Interlink. They're supposedly a France/UK based water ride specialist. They have installed flumes at parks such as Daftö Resort in Sweden and Euro Park in France (such relevant parks, I know).

Re: Galactica

I would say it's a new sequence, but I think the chances of it actually being are very, very slim (since Galactica wasn't commercially successful last year they wouldn't spend more on new sequences).
Possibly better headphones or higher resolution phones?

Re: Galactica

I think that's fairly unlikely Owen. From what I understand, Alton Towers wants to have the VR operating as much as possible so they'd avoid complaints from guests who wish to experience the VR but can't for whatever reason (e.g multiple headsets being down). Although better phones and headsets woul...

I believe the posters will have been ripped apart by guests, weather and just regular wear and tear.

Re: Colossus

I hate to sound so negative, but what Colossus needs is tearing down... I find it's aged very badly and even though other Intamin rides (like Rita) have become rougher, they are at least bearable, whereas Colossus just smashes your head around. Also, though Colossus is not meant to look shiny and ne...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

So, this teaser is obviously hinting at something involving Smiler and Galactica. I think at this late notice, what it could be is pretty limited: 1. Big Six Challenge returning. If they post further teasers featuring, for example, Nemesis and Oblivion I think this is very likely. 2. A new Galactica...

Re: Drayton Manor

I never rode the attraction in it's original form, but I don't think this looks too awful. Out of place? Yes. But I think the graffiti looks pretty cool. The track really needs a repaint to red or something similar, it looks a really odd in green.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

The new map design looks like it's being taken over by Cbeebies land which is quite sad really. :( Slightly disagree - Forbidden Valley (the main area for thrillseekers) is easily as big as CBeebies on the map. Also consider there are people who will visit solely for CBeebies Land, whereas thrillse...

I found this on the Galactica website: http://imgur.com/5pu0EYz.jpg https://www.galacticatours.com/our-destinations Which, when I asked if this was new, prompted an interesting response from Towers on Twitter: http://imgur.com/2Ue8xsx.jpg So, is more coming to Galactica? Maybe more VR sequences crea...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Honestly? I think we're reading into this a tad too much. Towers will undoubtedly begin to throw hidden hints in to us in the teasing process - but I don't think we've hit that point yet. I think this just tells us what we already know: it's a wooden coaster ;) Perhaps if I was looking at this with ...

Re: Cedar Point

Are we absolutely sure that the lift on this isn't going any higher? Because, unless Meaner Streak/Mean Streak RMC is launched, the middle of that hill isn't going to have much airtime, especially knowing how fast RMCs burn off their speed... Definitely intrigued to see this project finished. I pers...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

I do feel like Cloud Cuckoo should be the next area for development after SW8: at the moment there's almost no reasons to head up there (other than TT:the ride). I think a new dark ride or a majorly revamped Charlie could be a good addition, and perfect for the family market. If Gruffalo proves a su...

Nice to see Asterix doing more to compete with Disney by installing these large investments! I think this'll be a really fun family coaster when it's done, plus I hope the theming is as good as on the concept art!

Re: Early Ride Time 2017

It's also worth remembering that it now requires many more staff than Air did. Generally they try to open rides for ERT that do not require a huge amount of staff. Yes, that's a good point. I think Galactica requires 20+ staff now to run on full capacity... Also, it is a little odd they've split th...

Re: Early Ride Time 2017

I'm happy to see Nemesis returning to the ERT line-up! ERT is a good time for Nemesis sessions, when it's smoother and back row hasn't been designated for all Disabled Pass guests yet :) Slightly disappointed there's no Galactica from 9:30 like they previously did with Air, however it's still a &quo...

I think it's very likely I'll be on park (as I can't make the Sunday this time). So, hopefully I would be able to attend!
