Re: Ride Downtime 2016

Sketchy how? AT said it was stopped 45 mins due to guest action then reopened. I'm guessing someone was sticking their foot out again. Don't know, just seems a little bit as the amount of ride closures reported around Alton Towers seems to be a lot higher than any other theme park on the planet, bu...

Re: Ride Downtime 2016

Don't have any information regarding Th13teen but did anyone else see the Spinball news in the paper today? Not sure how long it was down for but it reported one of the trains stopping on the lift hill. Probably just the media jumping on Alton Towers' back for anything again but...seems a bit sketchy.

Re: Pleasure Island

Since it's Pleasureland's last day, has there been any news regarding where some of the rides that were currently there will be relocated? Especially since they only got the Voltar last year, maybe some of the rides could be located to somewhere like Southport Pleasureland or Oakwood?

Does anyone know how much they paid for this?!? Anywhere upwards of around about £5.60 seems like a waste of money to me.

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

Does anyone know who actually manufactured Dreamworld's Thunder River Rapids? I've looked around and cannot find anything, and Intamin have stated on their website that it wasn't them.

I like the fact that both the proposals want to restore the former Jazzland name.

Interested to see that, what looks like an Intamin Zacspin is in the concept art. I thought they were looked down upon now since all the accidents?

Re: Oblivion: The Black Hole - Gardaland - Opening 2015

Plus B&M are known for being expensive, while gerstlauers are usually cheap, and 13 I get because of it being a prototype but the smiler surely shouldn't be cheaper than this, with the train design being the only new design apart from the layout ( I believe I remember hearing somewhere that The...

Re: If you owned the Alton Towers Resort, what would you do

2016 Time to say goodbye to Charlie, Wobble World & Duel. Construction starts on a new family water ride, similiar to Chiapas/Valhalla by the end of the year. Nemesis Sub-Terra re-opens, and Hex also re-opens with new theming. 2017 Construction finishes on the new family water ride. Mutiny Bay ...

Re: Duel and the Gloomy Wood - A future?

Ever since I went on The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at Universal Islands Of Adventure in Florida in 2013, I've always thought that Duel has been crying out for an upgrade to something like this ride. It's a combination of 3D projections, real-time effects and sets - mix all of that in a haunte...

Hopefully this makes the table easier to read, also I finished the 100, modified a few positions, anyone know any big ones I might have missed out? :) Number: // Name: // Theme Park: // Country: // 1 Millenium Force Cedar Point USA 2 Intimidator 305 Kings Dominion USA 3 Fury 325 Carowinds USA 4 Bizz...

Re: Top 100 Rollercoasters

Not so much feedback, more opinion. Can't argue with Millennium at no.1, but for me, personally, El Toro is joint with it. I'm surprised to see it so low down. With the B&M hypers, I'd agree that Shambhala comes out on top (not ridden Fury 325 so can't comment), but I'd have Behemoth above both...

Top 100 Rollercoasters

So, sorry guys if this is in the wrong area but I had no idea where to post it. So anyway, recently I have made a list of my top 100 rollercoasters in the world (uncompleted) and was hoping that some users could hopefully give some feedback. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks. Millenium Force...

Re: 2017-2021: Possible Developments?

As we are not far now from the end of the 2016 season, a 2015-2019 topic is a bit dated, however here's a few things I think should happen over the next 4 or 5 seasons, up to 2021 maybe. Some of these are what I'd like to see however unlikely and some are things I think AT are aiming for in the lon...

Re: EnergyLandia

Personally, would love to see either the Vekoma or Intamin layouts in this park. But based on the park's history, I would have to go for the Intamin. If you look at the coasters already in the park: Vekoma SLC, (NEW) Vekoma Launch Coaster and a Vekoma Boomerang next year? I'd like to see something n...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

I would also prefer to see what RMC could do to spruce up Gwazi, but would not be annoyed either if they added an airtime giga because this would also be a great fit for the park. Oh, and Cobra's Curse, from what I remember, was a great family ride. Busch Gardens hit the nail on the head with that f...

Re: How will London Paramount impact UK theme parks?

First of all, I don't think Chessington will be able to compete with Paramount in the slightest. Maybe Chessington might focus a lot more on the family market due to Paramount being able to add a lot better and ambitious coasters for the thrill market compared to them. LegoLand Windsor, in my opinio...

Re: X-Sector refurbishment?

The whole area needs redoing. The Smiler & Oblivion lines need tidying up, as well as more sound effects to create tension. I'd also like to see something in the place of Submission, maybe one of them Top Scan rides built by Mondial, very similar to Samurai at Thorpe Park with some alternative t...
