Re: Project 2020

I'm not entirely sure of the technicalities but if a coaster is listed on a previously approved LTDP, isn't it easier and faster to get planning permission once the time comes to build it? that might suggest planning permission may be later than expected. I also seem to remember them getting some ki...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

For me, I think The Dungeons aren't exactly something that is needed. With the amount of Dungeon attractions all over the country, I just don't see the point in it being introduced at towers. Yes it will be nice to see the history of Alton brought to life in the form of the dungeons but I would hav...

It looks a lot like the new annual pass logo, and the Thorpe logo in general.

That's a fantastic point. It could be a complete rebrand for the park with a new modern logo

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Yes that’s certainly possible but I believe Alton have a much higher rate of PMAP visitors than Warwick

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I don’t think it’s possible to give access to PMAPs. There’s just too many people that have them. There wouldn’t be enough slots left or money made.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I agree that its really nothing to be complaining about. The problem will come when the public turns up and gets a shock. I think it will anger some people.

Wait! How did no one think of this before!

I would actually love one of these! Its not the massive coaster we all want but its a whole lot better than the new bench we're probably getting  :lol

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I haven’t said anything negative about others enjoying the ride. Everything I have said is my own personal opinion :) If people enjoy than they enjoy it. I am not the sort of person to hate on someone because they like something I don’t and if it came across like that than I apologise :) You are qu...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I'm sure I've seen that complaint about the car park,  or one very similar on Facebook. I'm not sure how I feel about the car parking charge as it doesn't really affect me with my MAP.  I understand that charges are used to control traffic flow and maintain services, but as Alton isn't really in a ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Forgot to post this yesterday, but Alton Towers Resort Jobs on Instagram had an interesting story and on it, when paused, was the following... https://i.imgur.com/XPZ9ZQ0.jpg It looks like effort will be put into Splash and rides. Hopefully, rides like The Smiler will be clean! Anyone read the bit ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

It makes a lot of sense for them to stay open later to exploit tea/dinner time, especially if the times are extended last minute, as people will most likely not have brought their own lunch and tea

It will be interesting to see what the boat ride is like. How much room will be left?

I've been told that the building is far larger than the bit we have seen, so there will be plenty of space for show rooms

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

In addition to premium season pass holders, I'm assuming MAP holders will also get free entry to the Dungeon? And does anyone have an idea as to how the pre-booking will work? Alton Towers have stated on social media today that "entry is not included in the Merlin Annual Pass", although i...

Does anyone know if the Premium Alton Towers Season Pass include free parking or ERT?

I highly doubt it. They're not mentioned on the terms and conditions so I'd say no I'm afraid.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Yeah I thought that might be a little too long for a secondary attraction. I think it works at Warwick because there's nothing to do there. There's loads at towers so an hour out of the day is still a really big impact Actually, there is quite a lot to do at Warwick, especially if you visit in peak...
