Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

So here's an interesting thought, with the potential spread of COVID-19, would you want to wear the VR headset? Whilst the headsets are wiped down after each use, I don't have much faith that there is adequate time to perform an extensive clean that would be required to prevent infectious disease sp...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

In the Disney case though the offer was based on upon existing prices. So yep, whilst comical that there's barely any difference in price, there's no question of the accuracy of the advert. Literally calling something Unlimited, saying no further words are needed, but it possibly turning out that ac...

The website (which is using the same new branding as the twitter post) confirms that unlimited fast track is still only for an hour https://www.thorpebreaks.co.uk/offers/early-booking-offer.html?adcode=TB-S-S-THORPE&agent=TPC01&utm_content=tpb-30_off-2020-wk06-wide-ebo_3&gclid=EAIaIQobC...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Given the amount of people who have questioned this advert, especially on Facebook and no response has been given by the park, I can only assume it's true. Otherwise, it would appear to be an incredibly misleading advert that they're allowing to remain on their feeds. Edit: I asked them about this l...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Thorpe Park appear to have confirmed that WiFi will no longer be free at the park for day guests, and instead become a hotel guest only perk. Additionally unlimited fastrack appears to be given to hotel guests, rather than the one hour limited fast track of previous years. https://i.imgur.com/9R40Pc...

I can't be the only one hoping for little wooden huts around the place selling pretzels and Bratwursts etc. I mean, most Christmas markets don't need them until November, so they could easily rent them :lol

Don't they have some of those ready to go over by the hotels? :sus:

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

I may be going to the park during Oktoberfest, so I’m just wondering, if I had to pick and choose between rides during late hours, what are the best ones to try out? Thanks.  At the moment the evening ride line-up hasn't been announced. But I suspect Wicker Man will be on the list, and is probably ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

'Summer of Thrills' is a little vague so I'll be interested what they're going to do to justify if being on a list of events for the 40th year. Part of it will be celebrating attractions current and past. So why do I get the feeling it will be some social media thing. :lol Oktoberfest sounds pretty...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Yep. There was barely ever anyone waiting at it and for a while it had a member of events staff out front attempting to lure people in. Ironically when I did go in via a paid ticket, no one told the staff operating it and they didn't turn up on time. The story description appears to be the same as l...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

SAW: The Ride is having a major service, as both its 2 and 3 yearly cycle services were due this closed season. Colossus is probably being welded back together to get it through another season. Whilst the Old Town rides are all serviced in that area. If there was a noise, my guess is take a pick fro...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Speculation appeared to spread quickly, presumably when various YouTube channels started referencing each and making it appear to have greater validity than it did.

The weird thing was it was never removed from the source that said it was coming back in the first place.
