Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I've seen one of the animatronics gave up. Capacity is probably going to be very hard to judge, as the mass of people who arrive long before the park opens to get allocated to a boarding group, pretty much wipes the ride's capacity out within a short time of the park being open.

Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion

Out of curiosity, do we know if the usual GCI winter maintenance addresses areas of roughness on the coaster? I found Wicker Man to be borderline unbearably uncomfortable on the turn after the twisted double down toward the latter half of 2019, even opting against riding it on more then one occasio...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

The menu is something they really need to sort out, especially as one of the few external local alternatives for quality food caught fire this week. Because if it all they're doing is adding new flavour hot dogs, I'll be bringing a packed lunch. Freestyle looks like just to be a new cup design, whic...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

Perhaps the opening of Walliams area will provide a barometer for the park's level of intended investment in flat rides outside of CBeebies Land. At the moment we know one headline attraction (presumably a ride) will be coming, but will they have taken the time to refit or replace other attractions ...

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Rise of the Resistance finally opened, and by all accounts appears to be well liked, with the virtual queue method they are using being full for the day within a few hours each day. From a brief glance at queue times a few times, I'm not sure it's given the park a particularly large boost in attenda...

Re: Six Flags Magic Mountain

So West Coast Racers scraped in on that opening in 2019 promise, with the ride operating on select dates over the last week to passholders only. It'll open fully to the public in early January. ZIPWAOwjvQI Although the waiting for the other train to offload and load passengers, in 2 train operation ...

Avengers Campus will be opening Summer 2020 at Disney California Adventure. https://i.imgur.com/OIK14mc.png Given the crowd levels after Star Wars Land opening, and this being essentially a smaller version of that land design concept, complete with only half the planned attractions opening at launch...

Re: The Future of RITA..

Rita, along with Nemesis, featured as a peculiar question on the guest feedback machines earlier on in the season, with the purpose of the question seeminy to be to guage visitor interest in the attractions. Could certainly speculate that the only reason they'd be asking about 2 named attractions, w...

Re: Stealth

There is a Spotify playlist that I believe has the originally intended track listing, although I seem to remember it contains a lot of things that have either been removed or just never get played.

There's also the following that contains a reasonable number of the tracks used.

Re: Legoland Windsor Resort - General Discussion

Seems a random last minute change. Surely they would have already had the designs signed off, especially for the train itself that must be well into manufacture.

But oh well, they should be able to make something nice regardless of the theme they eventually settle on.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I was pretty against the upcharge of this before it opened, regardless of the reason being due to its terrible throughput, and at the end of the season I'm still heavily against it. Even on a cold day with nothing much else I wanted to do, I felt no inclination to go back into the Dungeon. In terms ...

Re: Attraction Analysis

Something a bit more general, I watched an interesting video this morning on the construction of backyard roller coasters. What appear to be fairly, try and hope designs, actually have a very large amount of engineering behind them, and demonstrate some of the fundamental structural and mechanical r...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

It does look quite remarkable, and it's interesting how the Paramount Studios aspect has returned, albeit now in a single area of the park, but still with its prominent studio gate. Some of the imagery suggests there could be an Intamin/Mack multi-launch coaster around the castle, a Journey to Atlan...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride

Thorpe are currently running Merlin Annual Pass adverts using the The Walking Dead: The Ride advert, so I would say the rumour of it being removed for the start of next season to have little validity. However, we can be fairly certain they don't have an unlimited timed license, so at some point it w...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride

Rumours are floating about that Thorpe Park has lost the license to The Walking Dead. If true what does this mean? A removal of the IP and change to a generic zombie containment themed ride? X return? SBNO? Or a complete Removal? It's still listed on the app as returning in 2020. The listings were ...
