Re: Congo River Rapids - General Discussion

I imagine by waterfalls they mean the slight drops that all rapids rides have. They were probably trying to make it sound better than it is with marketing. Merlin aren't afraid to big things up with marketing...*cough* Th13teen :lol

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I know this seems bad, and that's because it is. But Thorpe have done some great things this closed season. The winter work series has been amazing in my opinion and given a good insight into their work. Thorpe have said in their statement about events in the future, so there will hopefully be bette...

I think Merlin would have learnt from that. The Smiler has its problems.

Re: SAW: The Ride

Unpopular opinion, I actually quite like this ride. The layout is very fun, if a little short and the theme just works. It could do with a thorough clean in the building which I think it's getting along with it's pressure washing. I hear many complaints about it being rough but I feel that adds to t...

Re: Project 2020

Or maybe the symbols are a hint to the infinite amount of time it will take until Project 2020 actually happens.... If it happens, which is looking increasingly unlikely. Or maybe the infinite IP's Thorpe will get over the coming years. Or the infinite jokes that could be made about their questionab...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I am not even mad I'm just disappointed. Thorpe are slowly losing my respect and hopefully they will see that we don't find this a good idea. Whatever is happening at Thorpe Park, Merlin need to nip it in the bud soon. There is usually a reason to defend their decisions but with this there just isn't.

Hypd appears to be a gaming news website after a quick Google. Maybe an event. Also yes that two appears to be there.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I think this is quite different to the other dungeons with this being in a theme park with a lot of people. It'll have to contain larger groups because of throughput. The other dungeons aren't in as high demand so can make the groups smaller. Alton have to compromise somewhere to make it fit for a l...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion & Wishes

If this is the case I wouldn't be surprised. Would be glad to see Lumber Jump go, and Old Town really. I don't have an objection to Alton placing it in CBeebies land either.

Re: Project 2020

To check for planning permission I have been checking Runnymede Borough Council's planning search and searching THORPE PARK as that comes up with the most recent results. Is this where we would find the latest planning applications?

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I hope those little symbols will be used throughout the park as they look very modern (collosus definitely needed some updating) I have to say it's odd to overlay them in that video though. I am however excited to see what is happening to old town. Find out more March 29th!

Re: Project 2020

This has been said before but I think there is further proof of this now. People have been speculating that the next rollercoaster to be installed at Thorpe would be around Loggers Leap and Slammer. However, with the apparent closure of IAC I think it's unlikely for it to be placed elsewhere. The cl...

Re: SeaWorld San Diego

SeaWorld San Diego have announced Mako, a new B&M Dive Coaster coming in 2020, followed by a Shark habitat upgrade in 2021 and a new Penguin experience in 2022. From what we have seen the coaster looks good and habitat upgrades are always welcome. Seems like you're going to have to specify SeaW...

Re: Planet Coaster

It is worth noting that Planet Coaster is deceivingly demanding. I'm running a system with a Nvidia GTX970 GPU with an Intel i5-6400 CPU and this will struggle with more densely populated maps in Planet Coaster, for reference :) What settings and resolution do you use? I'm definitely going to have ...
