Billy's Whizzer all the way, it's in a themed area (tut tut AT) and it has water. Whereas Ug Swinger is neglected, stuffed in the back of Ug Land and swings rubbishly. I'm wondering why it isn't as good as it was, can somebody fill me in? It's to do with the proximity to Rita I believe, unless gues...

Wow! Cannot believe my eyes, it looks fantastic and I'm incredibly excited to see it all completed in March. Just on that piece of theming alone it's the best themed on park addition since Hex, Bravo Alton!

Absolutely fantastic artwork, as soon as you look at it you want to visit, really looks magical and makes you just want to get back to Alton Towers as soon as possible. The new resort logos I quite like also, although not to sure on the whole "Water Park" thing with Cariba Creek, would rat...

Any ideas what Gold Mine's going to be rethemed as Dr Pop? It shall be re-themed to Devils Creek ... Gold Mine, Lucky Strike Arcade and the new Bowling Alley will all be part of the Devils Creek area and thus all will recieve a re-theme, it's going to be a more darker western theme. Gold Mine will ...

But the Flume has always been part of Aqualand / Merrie England. I don't see how anyone can say it isn't. You can't all of a sudden give a ride it's own area sandwiched between two totally different themes. Well you can, but it's not professional. It may not be visable from all areas, but just thin...

So long as the Flume is clearly separated from Mutiny Bay I cannot see it being much of a problem, it should not be visible in my opinion from Mutiny Bay nor should it be heard (i.e. the music). I'm sure some themed walls or some facade will do the trick. The Flume should not be listed as being part...

Updates "The Aeronaut" was planned to open for the February Half Term but it appears that will not be the case now, due to a setback at the manufacturers in Germany, so it's opening date is currently not known. As for "Over the Hill", more concept art has been released and can b...

That sort of imagery is what the entire brand of Alton Towers should be about, it just looks so magical and appealing, the ironic thing about the corporate site is now with that style it comes across with a very magical and family orientated precense and the main site in itself feels more like a cor...

Nemesis without a doubt, sitting anywhere else is fantastic in itself but the front row is spectacular, the sight of seeing your feet slice past rocks, theming and waterfalls is a huge adrenaline boost. Nemesis, at night during Electric Towers, at the front was without a doubt the best ride experien...

It's a rather interesting concept, but S&S are just unreliable and have a very poor after service from what I understand, Thorpe Park I know have especially had a lot of trouble with trying to get parts from them. Same with a few other parks also, so there not in most parks favourite books at th...

Theres far too much going on with the retheme of merry england for ugland to be bothered about! Also why ugland think of forbidden valley back in the day? That themeing has been dissrupted majorly by air and the chippy has it not? The theming in Forbidden Valley has been completely disrupted with s...

Supposedly it will be an "Adrenaline Week" format for the February Half Term with a reduced ride selection and reduced entry price, but that's not confirmed as far as I'm aware just a possibility.

I'd love for it to happen and it should happen, the tunnel is hideous but I don't think it'll happen this year, I really hope it does but I just cannot see it happening. Would like to be proved wrong though, I'm sure if Merlin are as dedicated as they are it would be something that would get done th...

As for the sound, like already said it's the highlight of Haunted Hollow, always have to set it off a few times whenever I walk past it.

Click and scroll down I'm rather lost for words, it looks very impressive I must say, interesting layout with some fantastic theming, hopefully this does not end up like a flying fish or Stealth where most of the theming vanishes during construction, but the layout in itself is outstanding. Edit: N...

I've been helping out with the Beelzee Bob's tear down and here are a few sneak peek photos of inside, these were from last week so a lot more has gone over the weekend but you get the general idea. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u129/dc006f5086/Bobs033.jpg http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u12...

Alton Towers 2007 Well, it's been an interesting year, very mixed feelings about it as there have been some really bad decisions but at the same time there have been some good ones, as well as some rather surprising changes and news such as the Merlin takeover which took place earlier this year. So...

It's all sounding interesting, theming sounds or at least seems to be an important part of this project and hopefully budget cuts do not make this another Air, but I'm sure it won't. Battle Galleons certainly will be a popular ride with most people, it's got a gimmick that will really appeal to the ...

Honestly, I'm not too upset about the incident but I certainly was very shocked when I first heard. But now the shock has gone I feel no great loss as the Sky Ride was never open for pretty much all of my visits anyway. Well done to Alton Towers and the Fire Crews for evacuating the area and managin...

I'm over the moon about the Splash Karts removal, now I'm apprehensive about this replacement, I'm staying positive but I still have my usual concerns that it will not be pulled off well, but like I always say, I really hope my doubts are proven wrong. I quite like the name and I like the looks of s...
