Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Still think the shallowness of that lift hill suggests speed.

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Because the elevations are even shallower than the plans looked.

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Oh come on guys, stop pretending those pictures didn't make you sorta dissapointed. Totally agree. No need to be OMG! HOW AMAZIN!, because quite frankly... it isn't. Its two gently sloping hills, in fact the first thought that came into my head was a Go Gator . I was expecting some nice sharp turns...

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

What I seem to fine interesting is the fact that they have now put the framework up over the area with the hole. Yet, they have not placed any track within the building. Now unless they are planning on sliding it in further on down the line after hydraulics have been installer I can't see why they w...

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Anyone here have the skill or ability to render the images in the plans over a construction image with a degree of transparency?

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Anyone notice that the actual station part of the building is not built. Look again at the pics and its only the maintenance area and the drop which is built.

I would say thats because they need to install the track first.

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

These workmen are brilliant, I was never expecting to have construction move this quickly. The building looks a decent size, and I kinda like the idea of a second lift hill. To be fair all roller-coasters go up at this speed, but each and every time people seem to go 'that was fast' when really... ...

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Quite right, sensors sill most likely be placed on them to enable the computer system to track the speed and location of the train on the launch track.

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

I'm glad I know what those small holes filled with water were now, seem like they were making sure the ground was strong enough for the lower supports

Those small holes filled with water were the foundations, they had just filled with water after a few days. Nothing to do with 'testing'?

Thats a heat gun, not a hair dryer :?

I've heard that the ride has kicker wheels on the lift literally for noise purposes only.

You mean you think.

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

Just a thought; Click! Combine this with a dark dingy crypt, effects and such... you never know? Im starting to think we might see something a bit like the stratosphere ride but you crash through a crypt. The concept artwork sure reminds me of that Personally I think that mechanism in a dark smoke ...

School Business Trips?

In discussions about a business trip overseas with the 6th form, the idea of Disneyland keeps popping up, was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to parks or other places that do business trips for school.

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

As I said way back in the humble infancy of this topic, I am now more then ever convinced we will be seeing a simulator. There was a debate between me and Big Dave over wether a simulator platform could support a track piece with a train on top. Well... I would like you to check out this video: CLIC...

Re: SW6 Construction Part Two

The hole is believed to be for a tunnel where the ride goes underground. Take that as from someone who works at Alton. Ditto. A tunnel for a rollercoaster would be a cut and cover job. In other words you are wrong.[/quote] Well done Evostance! I also predicted this would be a tunnel back in ...

Re: SW6 Construction

Yeah thinking back chances are its a bit of a test to see what they will look like/any improvements that can be made.

Got a tip for the themeing department; smother the windows in yogurt as the bacteria helps moss to grow making them look older than they are. :D
