Re: X Sector Refurbishment

The mist pipes have always needed a lot of maintenance themselves - due to limescale buildup etc.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The wooden structure is a games unit. Remember that there were games previously near that spot.

Re: Th13teen complaint

I have changed the name of this topic - the forum is certainly not a place to complain about staff. As mentioned, any incidents like this should be directed at Guest Services who will no doubt do a good job looking in to it.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I wonder if they will install the feet like on the plans? Looks pretty wimpy at the moment.

Should look impressive with the satellites on etc.

Re: X Sector Refurbishment

I heard that the drop zone was actually power washed. Doesn't look like there's any green moss build up any more from years of damp steam..

Re: 2013 Season - General Discussion

AT is the only park in the country where you will consistently get nice welcomes and goodbyes when you enter and leave the park.

Re: 2013 Season - General Discussion

I think generally AT are better than the other Merlin parks at cleaning and painting, but there are lots of oversights this year. X Sector looks great in places, but the front of the Oblivion station still looks grim, and the transfer track has not been painted. There's various queue lines which wer...

Not sure how signs like that are missed when the queue was deep cleaned, lol.

Re: 16th March - New Beginnings meet - reviews

It was a great weekend - thanks to all. I just wish we could see that group photo in Secret Garden after my contribution!! I have sent the group photo to Adz so am sure he'll post it shortly. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon, let me know if any of you head down to the southern parks as I...

Is the white not just primer or filler - as a fair bit of the buildings in X Sector were in shabby shape last season..

Re: November 25th 2012 : Residents to oppose Alton's Lodge Plans

Disappointing that these people have such a strong opinion on the project. Maybe I'm biased, but I don't honestly see an issue with the lodges. I think they just have a problem with the resort expanding - but it's going to happen whether they like it or not. If they are so pissed off with the traffi...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Looks like the contruction walls were expanded as some of the paving was coming apart due to the land movement from the large hole.

Re: Nemesis repairs

Believe it or not Rita's hydraulic system is the most complex thing on park. The ride takes by far the most time to maintain, even more so than Air. One Air craft was finished before Christmas whilst the first Rita train was still in bits. Rita also has a larger maintenance team working on the ride.
